Few understand this like Tate Naoki, whose simplistic drawings allow for effort to be placed elsewhere while under conditions none-too-friendly to the animation staff. To call a lack of lines 'lazy' completely disregards this context and provides nothing of value to the learning process.
what movement? watch the scene again
He's talking about prioritizing different parts of entire episodes, not any one scene in particular.
Since I'm all but willing to jump on a chance to talk positively about something, I'm actually glad Ishitani got brought up. Honestly, I totally forgot that she directed/storyboarded that ending! She made that ending more fun than it needed to be, and she's even a pretty solid animator too. If you want to check out some other stuff she's done, I suggest watching some of her graduate work from Tokyo University of the Arts. I hope she's able to do more stuff in the industry soon, and I certainly wouldn't mind if she helped out on Super more!
Wow, I didn't realize she was the person who animated that clip with the girl running in the city. I hope Super starts to use her talents more often, because she's pretty good.
Toei is strict about hierarchy, so Ishitani is mostly stuck being an assistant episode director. It seemed to take Shoshido Nozomu forever to get promoted.

Whoa she's really good! It would be great to have her colaborate more in Super.

Tates work on Super has been a lot fancier and far more extravagant (at least during the action scenes), with things like animated zooms and far meatier effects and impact animation. His timing as well as how he makes characters move has also improved since his work on Z, as is evident in the cuts I demonstrated.
Even though you say his work on Super is better, which some may agree I think it is not cause he sacrifices the art for the sake of the movement, something he wasn't used to do in Z.
Are we too old to enjoy new Dragon Ball movies/series?

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.

Yeah, that does seem to be the case. Still, I'm glad she's getting opportunities. She's quite talented and I hope she finds more professional work however she can get it! I think she'll be a name to watch as time passes for sure.
Preview for the next few episodes. The link does say #75, but Goku is supposed to train with Kuririn in # 76. I don't know if the Goku image is from a promo artist or the episode, but looks like Shimanuki to me. That Goku looks awesome nonetheless.
I'm expecting Ishitani to make her episode director debut very soon. I hope it is in Super cause Super needs good directors.
As for Tate, he doesn't sacrifice art. It has been said many times already, but it's his style. He just draws that way. Due to the rushed schedule his work just lacks a little polish, but that's it. Many people including myself prefer his own style which he developed to the old style where he was just a Shimanuki and Hisada copycat who themselves were Kanada copycats. You can still notice his mannerisms in Z like thick eyebrows for example, but it's nothing that makes him stand out.

First pic of episode 75. Love it already.
Wait wasn't episode 75 supposed to have gohan and goku training...
If it turns out like this and my fears were true, they try to train and in 30 sec of goku punching gohan field gets messed, the Great ChiChi comes and stops there training..
And there you fucking have it, an untrained gohan yet again..
If this really is how it plays out, he doesn't get any training and it ultimately becomes the reason gohan loses, super might just lose me

One training session won't help much at all anyways. Plus he's getting two episodes so we at least have that.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

I don't know about that bro, I have a feeling pan is going to beat the final boss in Gohan's two parter, then Jaco arrests him..
I am not happy how Gohan is written out all the time, at least try to have do something of importance where he could and wants to help
