Is the "Silent But Deadly" tropes in DB Losing Power?

Post by Booze Sama » Fri Jan 13, 2017 3:16 pm

How many "silent but deadly" characters are they going to push for in this Universal Tournament arc?

I understand that there are like 120 new characters - (ofcourse not all will be introduced to us - maybe..possibly) there's obviously going to be that 'silent but deadly' theme going on, like how Hit was in the last tournament.

My question is, do you think they're going to do that in the next tournament?

Do you think there will be that one badass who will tear everybody up or a few badasses from each universe?

I'm so excited to see how this unfolds

Prepare to Universes of fluffy things, kids, and silly stuff.
Not entirely, but a part of them.
Oh and maybe a one man team ("I'm so strong I don't need a team").
I learned english listening to songs. So I don't know anything about. The day you had to learn play piano by just listening .mp3, you'll understand.

I get ya.
I thought there might be more serious characters this time considering they're fighting for survival and not a friendly.

There surely will be at least one, but at the same time populate the entire universes with negative, serious antagonistic characters will be out of the franchise. We got Roshi and Buu, they were always gag characters, so I think some space will be left for comedy.
Well, I suspect people will expect a kinda "Saint Seiya Ades" mood, but I'll bet there will be not that kind of tension: it's Dragon Ball after all.

The U6 tournament was not entirely friendly: the loser planet could get in fact totally wasted O_o. It was how they managed the mood that created that naiveness. The same could happen this time.

Anyway, I could be wrong. Who know? Maybe they really do something serious for once.

To be fair, Hit was the last man we got, and he was a walking silent but deadly trope, I would personally hope for two more people, of his type.

A silent type character who everyone thought was the strongest gets swapped away easily by a bunny rabbit is what would possibly happen..
With the amount of hype the tournament has generated, it's gonna be a sight to see if they screw up
The Lord moves in mysterious ways but you don't have to. Please use your blinker
