Hit does nothing in the anime to imply he's using a technique to survive Goku's barrage of attacks, he's just randomly not dropping dead from a guy 10 times stronger than him. KK can't work in any of the formats unless you're willing to pretend SS1 was never mastered and its shitty recolor is supposedly better at control ki than it (but still consumes a lot of stamina to turn on according to Super anime "logic".Gog wrote:Manga was also bullshit with Super Saiyan God, being thrown back into the mix. There was also a comment on the movie advertising, under Toriyama's designs, possibly by him but I'm not sure, confirming that the form happens when Saiyans use god ki and go SSJOLKv3 wrote:SSGSS is separate either way though. Do you really have to repeat this every single time? "Mastering" it is a work in progress, they got used to Super Saiyajin to a point they could normally function with it, which meant the strain greatly diminished and the power usage got more efficient. It still affects their bodies.
And I'm not sure why you're still hating on Blue since it was always meant to be "SS+ki". As Goku explained, it has better ki control (which, funnily enough, they showed us why when they were training with Whis) but it is more intense.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Unless Hit is growing before Goku even lands the first punch, he should've been either dead or knocked out from Goku's very first blow. It's especially egregious because Goku already proves he's outclassed Hit just by doubling his power, raising it by tenfold creates way too big of a gap between the two of them for Hit not to be in a coma from Goku sneezing on him.alakazam^ wrote:Hit was growing at the same time.

Mastering isn't a work in progress if you read the manga which this series is supposed to be a sequel to, they MASTERED it, as in it's done, over, finito. They made it a super powered Base state until Super needed Blue, a cheap recolor of regular Super Saiyan, to somehow work with KK and to retroactively explain why Goku never tries this with regular Super Saiyan and it does it poorly.
Blue is perfectly hateable just because it's another bad recolor that's being pushed around as "a new design" this is a continuous problem with the new material and I'll be damned if 60-70% of the "new" characters we get in the next arc aren't all copies of Saiyan's, Freeza, Namekian's, Beerus, Whis too. The mechanics are also dumb, how can a form be consuming stamina wise and give you perfect ki control, surely this perfect control should aford you the ability to decide how much or how little power it'll take up. Kind of like... Oh I don't know... Mastered Super Saiyan 1 does just fine in the Cell arc?

super Saiyan blue in general is lame, unoriginal, inconsistent and unexplained and I hate fact that this transformation has no drawback because there's was no reason for goku and Vegeta holding back in the u6 tournament and I have weird feeling there also going to hold back in the universe survival arc I just wish goku and Vegeta loses god ki and ssgss permanently

Goku is the same person who praised Freeza for getting stronger in the Reserrection 'F' movie, the same guy who made Krillin explode. He also praised Cell and Buu despite both of them being mass-murderers and he thought Buu killed Gohan. Why is it unusual for Goku to praise Black?SansrivaaL wrote:I loved chapter 13, I was glad that SSJG made a return and that Goku can access the form at will, I like Goku's base hair a lot.
One of the main reasons why I prefer the manga over the anime is because of this, and that Goku isnt overly childish in the manga unlike his anime counterpart dude was giggling and having a good laugh plus praising the guy that he knew made Future Trunks' life a living hell and killed Bulma.
Honestly its the only explanation for Hit's super durability. He's the universe 6 Babidi, that is obviously the reason why.

This would all work if only Hit had a convenient power that helps him avoid any and all damage even if you figure Time Skip out, oh wait! He does! Too bad he doesn't decide to use it in the tournament (and I'll slap the Pope if it EVER shows up again, like in the next tournament arc).Gog wrote:

Too be honest, Hit did even admit he wasn't going all out against Goku, and in their second confrontation, he did state that Goku wasn't lucky enough that he'll use the time skip.ekrolo2 wrote:This would all work if only Hit had a convenient power that helps him avoid any and all damage even if you figure Time Skip out, oh wait! If Hit's power was lethal like those invisible ki blasts he throws around in their second fight I might see why he wouldn't use it but as is, it's perfectly safe and seems like the smart thing to do when you're overwhelmed like Hit is. Especially since Goku is wearing down fast from combining Blue and KK.Gog wrote:Too be honest, Hit did even admit he wasn't going all out against Goku, and in their second confrontation, he did state that Goku wasn't lucky enough that he'll use the time skip.ekrolo2 wrote:This would all work if only Hit had a convenient power that helps him avoid any and all damage even if you figure Time Skip out, oh wait! Unless I've missed something, we don't know that the new arc is starting in this month's chapter. We don't even have SSR yet, so it's entirely possible that the new arc won't start until February.GodVegetto91 wrote:Are you guys excited for this months manga chapter?? I know i am! I find it very hard to believe the next arc will start in the next chapter. There's still far too much to cover, I mean Future Zamasu has appeared in one panel, that's it.GodVegetto91 wrote:Are you guys excited for this months manga chapter?? I know i am! It's far more likely the anime drags out the start of the new arc than for the manga to rush the Future Trunks arc so extremely.

Hopefully that will be what happens. We NEED the anime to get slower while the manga eventually catches up.

That is the problem, though, because the 1st tournament arc is the only one so far that hasn't been padded to hell. Unless we get more intricate stories, longer arcs in both the anime and manga would suffer immensely by slowing the pace.emperior wrote:LightBing wrote:I find it very hard to believe the next arc will start in the next chapter. I don't see why they shouldn't slow down things a little, as long as they produce interesting content I'm fine with it.Jinzoningen MULE wrote:That is the problem, though, because the 1st tournament arc is the only one so far that hasn't been padded to hell. I honestly hope this time Toriyama really has wrote down a super thick plot, so that they won't have to pad it with useless things. I especially don't want to see Pilaf gang gags
