Vegeta's Death

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Vegeta's Death

Post by tapion 15 » Tue Jun 05, 2007 8:26 pm

In the Buu saga Vegeta kills himself to stop Buu but fails. Then we see him in DBZ Movie 12, Which takes place during the Buu saga, he has the halo, later he comes back at the end to help Goku to kill Kid Buu, he still has the halo. After kid Buu is killed, Vegeta signs up for the World Tournement but no halo. Was he wished back or what?

I'm disregarding the movie till the end.

Vegeta killed himself trying to kill Buu. Yema decided to let him keep his body because of all the dead folks in his line. Baba escorts Vegeta back to the land of the living while he is still dead. Vegeta gets wished back with the Dragonball when they are used to revived everyone who had died because of Buu.

Now the Movie was not to take place in the animes universe (dispite what many may do to try to fit it in). Jenemba runs a muck in the Afterlifeworld (that's what I'm calling it) and cause lots of dead folks to come back to life (or at least those who should not have bodies to have them and then run around doing what they want).

Now, the questions that I just happen to come up with while writing this explanation is: why is Vegeta the only newly ex-dead person the only one to visit Goku and why is he not on Earth like the rest of the rest of them? Why does Vegeta still have a Halo? If Hitler doesn't need one then why does 'Geta.

Sorry. I was half way done with it and had to stop, but I wanted to be the first person with a response.

Everyone that came from the afterlife were all bad, or maybe because he was able to keep his body he didn't need to escape, and the halo only goes to those who dont go to HELL. I don't know thats just what I think.

Weren't there some kind of Romeo and Juliet reference in the movie?

I think so. I haven't seen the movie in a while.

There was. There was also a dead grandpa, but he had one of those white triangle-like things you see on YYH and Shaman King.

Vegeta was probably attracted to the strength of Janemba. Uber-opponents and Saiyans, afterall. That and Goku was near Janemba. As for the missing halos... a monkey did it?

I just figured the escaped villains came back to life when they escaped. Sort of a side-effect to Janemba's messing with the way the place works. Vegeta kept his halo cause he didn't leave Otherworld so he never revived.

But would the villians bodies look like zombies?

Question: why do people keep using terms like "Otherworld," "Afterlifeworld," and "Enmaworld?" Was "afterlife" considered like "Hell" in the dub, or what?

Seriously: Whatever! As long as I know what they are talking about I am satisfied. So the definitions of "Enmaworld", "Afterlifeworld" and "Otherworld" are very well understandable, if you read the whole post.

I think it's "Other world" was used in the dub, and... umm... AnoYo? Umm... yeah, I guess it's just terminology carrying over, and then there's "afterlife" which is what it is... and anything else is either blending the two out of confusion, or being different under the assumption that one is wrong or something is more correct?
... Yeah... that kind of stuff. :?

Wait, if Vegeta was looking for Janemba's ki, don't you think Vegeta should have been there before Goku?

Well, the fight started at the Checkin station, right? (Not sure as I haven't seen the movie yet... :!). So could souls go from Hell to somewhere else in Otherworld, or just from Hell to Earth? (And on another tangent, ... I would ask if only people killed on Earth could come to Earth, but then there's the Ginyu Force...). But that doesn't answer the question if Janemba was in Hell long enough for Vegeta to get an idea before Goku got there. :?

I meant no disrespect; I'm honestly puzzled as to how something like the afterlife has as many fanterms for it as the Super Saiyan 1 levels.

Back on-topic: I figured Vegeta didn't give a damn until he noticed Goku's ki fighting with Janemba. Prior to Goku fighting him, Janemba didn't do anything regarding his fighting capabilities. From there, didn't Vegeta say he watched the fight?
