Where does goku go at the end of GT?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

We have no idea, it's intentionally left completely ambiguous. We don't know if he's alive, dead, goes to the afterlife, goes to some different realm with Shenlong, or what the heck is up. It's your own interpretation, which I love about the end of GT personally; kinda almost makes up for Goku leaving Chichi for the 10 billionth time. What happened to Goku - you decide!

EDIT: What we do know is that he quite possibly made a deal through probably some mental connection with Shenlong, as after the wish to revive all the victims of the Dragonballs' negative consequences, Shenlong tells Goku to come with him and Goku simply replies "Is it that time?" with no prior vocal exchange between the two about this. Goku's allowed to bid farewell to most of his best friends, gets the Dragonballs absorbed into his body, then disappears as Shenlong flies into a bright light. Going off what we know in the GT TV special and final 8 minutes of episode 64, Goku evidently still exists in some form, most likely alive and possibly immortal. He's probably the one who saved Puck after he fell from a bridge, we see he's able to physically interact with Goku Jr., and he apparently has some wish to avoid seeing Pan for the time being (on both occasions where Pan almost finds Goku, the latter of which she actually sees him, he seems to prefer heading off). My interpretation is Goku went to some slumber realm with Shenlong for the 100 years that the Dragonballs would need to recharge without being hunted, his body eventually reverted/grew back to its adult state, losing his tail in the process. After all that is said and done, he makes sure to deliver the 4-star Dragonball at his old house, keeps an eye on his descendant from afar in the events of the special and ep 64's final moments, and eventually heads off to the Kinto'Un to who knows where.

I don't need to search. My question was already answered. Thanks though.

Welcome. Seems like Conan beat me into posting.

EDIT: What irritates me with the ending is that Goku JR's and Vegeta JR's fight was exactly as Trunks and Goten's fight.

It wasn't really, I see it as more of an homage to it at first. Goten and Trunks never went SSJ deliberately to battle each other, and we don't know who won the Goku/Vegeta Jr. match. Point being, I loved it, getting to see Goku Jr. having fully mastered his abilities since the last time we saw him as a timid (Chibi) Gohan-type and now he was standing equal grounds with Vegeta's descendant. A fitting end to the fighting aspect of the series IMO, us viewers getting to see what the next generation is all about while Goku has a last nostalgic walk outside the arena.

Speaking of which, I've yet to share with you guys my revamp of the final 4 minutes of episode 64, let me know what ya' all think?

"To another dimention!"
...
Now that that's out of the system...

Hmm, I have no idea what dub it is that I have of the dragons saga (blah, I'm clearly not a hero! :()... but something about episode 64 in that version was... ... ... non-fulfilling.

Actually, I kinda like how Pojo's book described the last episode... something there felt more dramatic and the episode didn't really do much else other than actually show the action in question...

Meh, I need to get the Funi Dub of the end of GT just to see if emotional value is pulled off.

Oh my God! Conan I loved your video! I always thought that that scene was in need of a few more flashbacks. Especially loved the use of the 10th anniversary movie footage.

Conan, you video was friggin awesome!!! It was possibly the best version of the ending of GT. It was a little better then the original version of the ending, but the ending of that episode is the absolute BEST way to end the greatest Anime in History! :)

Pretty nice video. At first, it seemed like it would be some sort of satire with everything bad happening, seeing as the Oozarus were destroying everything and Goku falling out onto his head and such.

Well, I think he just flies up into the sky for a bit. There might be something about it on the Main Site or somewhere else. You could always just google it or something.

There is really no definitive way to know if he did anything. He could be training, he could have went home, went to Heaven, we have no clue. So, I just use my imagination and say that he went to go train with Shenron for the 100 years for when that next big villain that comes along, and that we know that he'll always be there to protect the Earth and the Universe.

Walmart.
Jord doesn't have a avatar because the combination of Jord and a equally cool avatar would cause the universe to implode.
