I just shared the image with two friends of mine. I said the new god of destruction looked like Ganon, one friend said he looked like torbjorn and the other friend said he looked like Gimli. Hooray for dwarf god.

Disappointed the new GoD is not another animal, but at least is not another cat and I'm glady surprised for that.
Really thought Toriyama would take the easier way out. After Champa turned out to be a fat Beerus, I can't be much more disappointed than I was back then.

The angel looks ok. I approve both. Now I'm curious to know if their pair is a young chill out duo.

So we have 2 character designs released so we should have at least now have 132 more to show.

105/106 fighters it depends on whether Frost is going to be there, 9 Gods, 9 assistants and at least 9 kais.

Nah, just for them keep the Egyptian theme, it would be nice. I was expecting a hawk next.

Not really. I don't remember anyone complaining about Zamasu design, some pointed that he look cooler than East Kaioshin

That new god of destruction design, is really, truly making my Scottish senses tingle, ferociously. Also doesn't help with the fact that his design is the best in the franchise

Found this interesting comment on youtube, which may be the direction Toriyama is going:

I get the feeling the Gods of destruction are being based off gods of real life religions. Beerus and Chompa look like Egyptian Pharos. This new GoD looks like a god of Viking lore Odin. I wouldn't be surprised if we see an elephant looking GoD someone who throws lightning bolts like Zeus.

In the last trailer there's a GoD much bigger than all the others, who could turn out to be the elephant following this logic.
Looking back Goku is also inspired from Sun Wukong, the Monkey King.

The theories of them all being cats or egyptian theme are out the window now.
