I like the design looks cool to me, I'm happy it wasn't some cat.

Depends on who they fight. Krillin and tien are still incredibly strong in their own universe, who's to say there won't be weaker people on other teams?Lujin_16 wrote:so if we have tag team battles that means everyone will have his moment....In a 1 vs 1 battle characters like Krilin,Tenshinhan etc would lose easy what i
mean is in tag team battles they will have a longer moment than with 1 vs 1

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

With all due respect mate, this is a silly excuse. Why just blame Toyotaro and not Toriyama? And Black said that he indeed was in search for a timeline without Beerus?ArchedThunder wrote:I think that was probably just something Toyotaro made up, that whole thing didn't make any sense. Why would black have to find a timeline without Beerus when he wouldn't have to deal with him in the first place? All he has to do is kill the Kaioshin and he had to do that in the other 11 universes anyways, so even if Beerus was the strongest or most troublesome he wouldn't need to find a timeline without him.

It wasnt in the anime iirc, so not Toriyamas fault.Noah wrote:With all due respect mate, this is a silly excuse. Why just blame Toyotaro and not Toriyama? Er... Yes? It was on the manga, where Toriyama has more involvement, so could be his fault.kinisking wrote:It wasnt in the anime iirc, so not Toriyamas fault.

Toriyama allows toyotouro to do his own thing though. That's like blaming Toriyama for GT.Noah wrote:Er... Yes? It was on the manga, where Toriyama has more involvement, so could be his fault.kinisking wrote:It wasnt in the anime iirc, so not Toriyamas fault.

What about his outlines? We don't know that for sure, so both Toei and Toyotaro have creative freedom in their products?kinisking wrote:Toriyama allows toyotouro to do his own thing though. That's like blaming Toriyama for GT.

Some fans think that the new GoD may be based on Bes, who is an Ancient Egyptian deity.

I'm not too impressed with how the new angel character looks. Was kinda hoping that it'd be something different than the angel characters we've seen thus far.
Though I am digging the dwarf God of Destruction's design. Something straight outta folklore I see. I'm also relieved to hear that not all GoD characters are humanoid cats. That leaves me to looking forward to seeing how other GoD characters looks and their designs.

Well Beerus definitely looked like Anubis.Hellspawn28 wrote:Some fans think that the new GoD may be based on Bes, who is an Ancient Egyptian deity.
There was one called Ra that looked like some kinda Falcon so maybe we'll get something like that. One looked like a Crocodile another looked like a Hippo.
In fact in the teaser image they did show a huge God of Destruction so maybe that's a Hippo.

I have no strong opinions on mister Dwarf God. But I think it's pretty neat. The fact that he isn't a cat makes me excited to see the other gods. I'd like it if there was a slight uniform variation with the angels, but I guess whateves. The attendant looks pretty serious. I guess I shouldn't have assumed all of them were as carefree and whimsical as Whis and Vados.

There is Apep, who is a Snake God. I would love to see a GoD that is a Cobra.

Noah wrote:I didn't thought about that with this concept that makes cheap for Toriyama to create only 5 new designs for the Hakaishin just to do some variations for their twin universe counterpart. Also that attendant looks a straight version of Whis lolDBS916 wrote:To be honest I'm not disappointed in the new GOD design. Looks okay. I wonder what his/its twin universe counterpart would look like. But the angel looks too silly. Like a bulky, angry Whis copy. Eh, maybe they'll look better when they debut on screen in a few weeks.
ArchedThunder wrote:I'm pretty sure you're wrong. It was said right after the Champa arc that the other GoDs are more violent, but I don't believe any comment has been made of their power compared to Beerus.Xeztin wrote: If I'm not mistaken it was said in one of the tellings (Super, movies or manga) that Beerus was the strongest God of Destruction but others are a lot more aggressive than he is or evil something along the lines of that. I could be wrong but I could have sworn I seen that somewhere.
Didn't Black (manga) said Beerus is the most troublesome of all Hakaishin?
Right! That's where I got it from!

I can't wait to see the rest of the character designs
This Destruction God's design shocked me, I was kind of expecting a bunch of Cats. I hope we see more God's like this, some we wouldn't expect.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
As much as I hate Super, I've always loved the new designs. This is no different. The Ganondorf + Gimli fusion reminds me of classic Toriyama art for some reason. I'm so glad he decided not to go with 13 cats, that would've been so lazy and just so meh if Champa and Beerus had more siblings. I wonder if all the attendants are Angels. I love the look of the new one and I wouldn't be against the other 9 being similar to Whis, Vados and the Grand Priest. Also, am I crazy or does 17's shirt seem familiar? I swear I've seen that shirt before, maybe not with whatever word is splayed across the front but I can't seem to remember where I've seen it. Maybe an alt costume in a video game?

Me being the crazy guy I am, I'm trying to figure out what Universe Ironfoot sama (I'm naming him after my avatar for now since well...he's pretty much like him LOL) is from. Of course I'm probably not gonna go anywhere with this but I'm trying to decipher those shapes. The only thing i can *assume* for now is that he is a GoD of an even number'd universe, perhaps 10. Beerus has a Diamond on him and he's 7, Champa has the circle like Ironfoot shown in this photo and he is Uni 6. The Angel has so many shapes lol...
idk i guess no use trying to confuse myself lol.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
It would make sense for him to be from Universe 10 since that was both the last universe visited and the only one who's God of Destruction hasn't been seen yet. So that's my bet as well.DainIronfoot wrote:Me being the crazy guy I am, I'm trying to figure out what Universe Ironfoot sama (I'm naming him after my avatar for now since well...he's pretty much like him LOL) is from. Beerus + Whis and Champa + Vados shared the same shapes, so I'm guessing these 2 new guys aren't a pair. I wonder if the alcohol naming pun will still continue.DainIronfoot wrote:Me being the crazy guy I am, I'm trying to figure out what Universe Ironfoot sama (I'm naming him after my avatar for now since well...he's pretty much like him LOL) is from. Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Not sure if someone mentioned this, but I read a Youtube comment that was very interesting with respect to Gods.
That Toriyama was basing his character designs based on different polytheistic religions around the world: Egyptian for Cats, Norse for Dwarves.
Maybe we'll see someone like a Raijin from Japanese mythology, or Zeus from Greek mythology. (Although Zeus and Raijin would almost identical)

This might be the case. We will definitely know it once we see another God of DestructionDragonHermit wrote:Not sure if someone mentioned this, but I read a Youtube comment that was very interesting with respect to Gods.
