There are now 6 Time Rings, something Zamasu seems surprised. Does this change anything in the story?
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Just like in the anime Trunks going back in time warning them about Black and thus Beerus killing Zamasu split the timeline and create another time ring.alakazam^ wrote:There are now 6 Time Rings, something Zamasu seems surprised. Does this change anything in the story?

ssj2 trunks holding ssjr black, is the same, if not worse than episode 57. I wonder how many people are gonna mention the fucked up power scaling.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
That's ridiculous. He landed a couple of punches to a distracted Black which dealt no damage. It's not comparable in the slightest.zamasu121 wrote:ssj2 trunks holding ssjr black, is the same, if not worse than episode 57. I wonder how many people are gonna mention the fucked up power scaling.

Here we go with the manga excuses. Black clearly noticed him when he stabbed zamasu, and he was clearly in pain from trunks punches.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
someone needs to tell TOTO he's drawing the hair wrong for ssj and ssj2 for goku and black's forms. Black is suppose to be ssj2 yet is drawn with ssj1 hair. then when he powers up the hair is still wrong/weird same for goku. I'm not sure what he's doing for that.
Also the power scaling is wacky. so black get's healed by zamazu and all of a sudden can destroy ssj blue vegeta? in what world? when black powers up is he ssj rose i can't really tell because he still being drawn with ssj2 sparks in his aura

He was still surprised by it, which reduces his reaction time making the scene believable. Anyway that wasn't my problem with what you said, you can dispute the scene still bends logic for it to work, which even if I disagree it's an argument to be discussed.zamasu121 wrote:Here we go with the manga excuses. What I called ridiculous is that you call this even worse than episode 57, an episode where Trunks survived a direct hit Kamehameha from Rosé Black. Couple that with your "manga excuses" and you made your bias clear as day.
So I won't be continuing this conversation.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
The scene in episode 57 is trash power scaling wise, there is no denying that, but if you don't accept the fact that both the manga and the anime are bad power scaling wise, you are the biased one.LightBing wrote:He was still surprised by it, which reduces his reaction time making the scene believable. I don't see any problem with it — it's a near-death power up. We already have several instances of said power-ups in the original manga where the boost was massive. Goku becoming 33x stronger in the Freeza arc, for example.jplaya2023 wrote:Also the power scaling is wacky. so black get's healed by zamazu and all of a sudden can destroy ssj blue vegeta? in what world?

And those all stopped after Namek, the one that happened after it for Cell didn't even make sense as suicidal damage then healing doesn't yield a Zenkai.Khin wrote:I don't see any problem with it — it's a near-death power up. When the manga has Spirit Sword and Super Saiyan Rage Pull show up, then it's as bad as the anime when it comes to powers.zamasu121 wrote:The scene in episode 57 is trash power scaling wise, there is no denying that, but if you don't accept the fact that both the manga and the anime are bad power scaling wise, you are the biased one.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

If super saiyan rage is not coming next chapter, then prepare for some garbage writing. How the fuck is trunks supposed to escape from black?ekrolo2 wrote:And those all stopped after Namek, the one that happened after it for Cell didn't even make sense as suicidal damage then healing doesn't yield a Zenkai.Khin wrote:I don't see any problem with it — it's a near-death power up. Well, it did stop, but only for our heroes. Trunks speculated in this chapter that it is due to Vegeta's training; The Daizenshuu likewise explained they simply become insufficient after the battle with Freeza with no further explanation why.ekrolo2 wrote:And those all stopped after Namek, the one that happened after it for Cell didn't even make sense as suicidal damage then healing doesn't yield a Zenkai.
Why it still affects Black is I don't know, maybe Zamasu being in Goku's body opens up a lot of his potential. And unlike Vegeta, Black still have a very wide room for improvement hence why near-death power-ups still affects on him. (This could tie with the explanation Trunks gave.) Just my guess, though.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
I'm pretty sure this part of the manga is when Super Saiyan Rage Trunks is blocking Goku Black and Zamasu in the anime. If I'm turned out to be correct, then Super Saiyan Rage is for the anime, while this "Mastered Super Saiyan 2" is for the manga. Or maybe Goku and Vegeta will run away one more time...zamasu121 wrote:If super saiyan rage is not coming next chapter, then prepare for some garbage writing. Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
This chapter might be the last we see of Future Trunks. Toyotarõ said his ending would be different than the anime. I would rather Trunks just died than a cop-out as living in another timeline, just to have a twisted happy ending.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
I'll wait until I see the actual manga. I couple of other people said Trunks did basically nothing and then got wrecked which I expected.zamasu121 wrote:LightBing wrote:That's ridiculous. I agree. Him dying but the future being saved would elevate Future Trunks for me and means there's an Earth without saiyans now.LightBing wrote:This chapter might be the last we see of Future Trunks.
