I meant the Dai Kaio, not Rou Kaioshin. The Kaios all look like fish (bass?), but the Kaioshins do indeed look like elves. There is a Kaioshin race, but I'm starting to wonder if Xyex's idea that they're suddenly born into their position is at least partially correct. Maybe Kibito was undergoing an X million year-long apprenticeship before becoming a Kaioshin.
Actually, all the Kaios look like catfish to me... 8D;;

Well, there could be that, but I think I agree with Xyex's idea that there simply were no more Kaioshin around besides Shin and Kibito. I mean, aside from Rou Kaioshin and the Kaioshin Buu killed/absorbed, we don't see anyone else of their race, period. Maybe they all lived in secret? Who knows, but I certainly haven't seen evidence of others existing anywhere, so... o-o;
Art, etc. links taken down for now. Will be updated at some point. I dunno.

Well, South Kaioshin and Dai Kaioshin were absorbed... but what of the other two?
How many scenes of Buu's killed victims were shown in the afterlife in the manga? Even then... which forms of Buu? I don't think we ever see Kid Buu's victims in the otherworld (though Piccolo makes a comment about their halos in the dub... does that appear anywhere else?). So one possibility is that the Mazoku effect applied to Piccolo Daimao's family's victims could apply to those of Kid Buu, if not his other forms to some degree... which would explain where the dead Kaioshin went.

Or we could use the "if you kill a dead guy, they're gone forever" theory, but I don't like that... Bleargh... *wonders if that was mentioned outside of filler*

And if we assume that Kaioshin and Kaio are of a different race rather than just rank... then yeah, there were no other Kaioshin, apparently, and we have no idea how they reproduce, but given what we see tha'ts hardly an option.

BTW... "their", "roles? Is". The second one in particular makes reading difficult.

It makes sense, too: killing someone is simply releasing a soul from its corporeal shell. Killing a dead person is destroying said soul and therefore the essence of a person's being.

I've actually read a good fanfic or two that centered on that concept.
