Maybe to a westerner. But how often do comic books get referenced in Japan? After Mr. Satan VS Saiyaman: Dawn of Justice someone at Toei likes DC.

Vs titles are common in Japan, like Godzilla vs. King Kong. It doesn't have to be reference to Batman vs. Superman.

I mean he says it is a lame Harley Quinn reference acting like Akira does it for the first time

For example Frieza 2 form is a reference to Alien or Cooler's form a reference to the Predator so i don't understand his complain

I actually can't imagine any way for Female Broly to be good. At best, she'll be a somewhat poor-taste joke about a woman with two different personalities. Basically, Lunch 2.0, except she gets to punch someone at some point. Maybe. At worst, they'll overuse the joke or even worse, take her seriously. Like Toei trying to hint as much as possible that the Broly movies actually happened, guys! She's the counterpart to Broly! Broly exists! Buy those cards!

I wonder if she's just there to give 18 her designated female fight.

I think it's amazing and some of these cry babies will literally find any excuse to moan, especially over 3 seconds of footage. We have no idea where they will take the Broly character. And I can't even fathom why people are complaining about the clear Joker/Haryley reference. It's really cool.

I'm hoping Kuririn of all people being shown in that preview hints towards him having a fairly significant role in this upcoming saga.

I think the only reason they specifically showed krillin is because episode 75 and 76 are about him fighting again.

All 10 should have a good role in the tournament.

I don't know what to think about all that new designs yet. I'll have to see them in motion for some time. But that female Broly better have some interesting background, otherwise it will be a very bad idea for a character.

There is nothing wrong with the designs. I dont expect female Broly to be that good anyway. They probably showed her on purpose to get this exact reaction from the fanbase and to generate excitement.

The big players in the tournament have not been shown on purpose such as the fighter that is covered. We are still missing gods and about 100 fighters.

Hopefully we will get more information soon.

Broly-chan is nice, we will get more story about the Saiyan in U6, and people wanted a female ssj.

You're right. Art doesn't work in terms of right and wrong. But I have to say that the clown, wolf and Broly designs were a disappointment to me. I expected a bit more, specially when this was the perfect creative opportunity.

I say we give her a chance there's no way her backstory can suck as badly as brolys...Maybe. If I've learned anything it's that towing knows how to F*** up something even when you don't think it's possible.
