Super glad someone is actually recording it. Every person I thought would do it ended up bailing or didn't reply in time. Also awesome to see Bang Zoom getting ahead of FUNimation.

Suck on that, Rager!

I also came to say Cassandra Lee Morris confirmed to me today she isn't currently involved in the dub. She does work for Bang Zoom often so she could probably show up eventually, but for now, nothing yet. She was surprised I even knew about the dub.

So for those interested in my project to attempt to make an dub that's an amalgamation of cast from both dubs, I've made a separate forum for it here.
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=37278
Feel free to come and give your thoughts on which cast from which dub you want me to use for which characters.

Since they air 2 new episodes every week, This dub would have more episodes than funimation dub in 2 weeks... you guys are going to hear lot more of this after that!!!

I live close to India and I've got Toonami India on my TV. Today I watched Episode 2 of the DBS Bang Zoom dub.

I've recorded the AUDIO of the whole episode connecting the TV to my PC. Anybody think it's worth if I upload this audio file?

I couldn't record the video file because I couldn't think of a way to capture the TV screen to PC. Any ideas? (I'm not thinking of buying a PVR, but maybe something cheaper)

I'd definitely say upload the audio file, as long as it is out there this dub can be synced up to the existing Super footage.

I'm not sure how to capture the video but I'm sure there are plenty of people on this forum who can advise you on that.
Do you have any info about international non-English broadcasts about the Dragon Ball anime or manga translations/editions? Please message me. Researching for a future book with Dragon Ball scholar Derek Padula

I don't know the voice actor's name, but I can say he sounded closer to Christopher R. Sabat's Vegeta than the Japanese or Ocean dub Vegeta.

Kaiji Tang is Vegeta in the BZ dub.

Clearly this is a Digi-Dub, right? So why Dave Mallow isn't the narrator?! :lolno:
Except that, that's pretty good for a brand new (low-budget) dub!

Gohan and Videl are perfect! Gohan sounds finally sweet/shy. Not at the level of the Japanese VA or the Italian VA (<3), but for a English Dub, that's good. In short, he's the total opposite of the "Cool and confident guy" from Funimation.
It's just a bit stiff for now, I hope it will take its ease...
Funi's Videl sounds... like a teenage girl from "Mean Girl"... Clearly, BZ's Videl is better for my ears. Funi's Videl was cast for the Z/Kai's Videl, Erika Harlacher was cast for the Super's Videl, and it makes a difference. Sweet, laid, mature but always with a kind of innocence: she's perfect.

Goten was so cute!... kinda girly sometimes, but in view of the original JP voice, it's not a bad thing. (and between a +-girly, but cute voice and Stephanie Nadolny... well :shh:). Certainly the best English VA for a DB's Kid/Goku son, and clearly the best English Goten ever.
Trunks was good too. Bulma too, but the scene was too short to judge.

Hercule/Mr Satan was really energic and funny. That "Videeelll!!!!" made me laugh out loud.
Pretty good, equal with the voice from Funimation. (There will surely be better moments in one or the other, but it does not mean that someone will be better than the other... both are 2 big VA with solid acting, DBS is spoiled in English language )

Chichi was ok, way better than the Funi voice from Super. (I can not remember his voice in Kai... But I did not remember that she had a voice like that.)
She's ok, but not great.

These censorships in the last scene (with Kame Sennin) of that Episode 1 really transforms Chichi as a terrible person.
-France:
KS:Goku! Congratulations, you got 100 milli...
*Silly jokes cut*
Chichi:GET OUT OF MY HOUSE! I'm not gonna give you anything!!!
-BangZoom
KS: Goku! You got 100 million of Zenis... that's great... You know, I've debt, i have big problems, i'm old, i live modestly, plz halp
Chichi: YOU WRETCH, YOU REALLY THINK I CARE 'BOUT YOU?! GET OUT AND DIE!
I mean, WTF Toonami International?!

Conclusion: Very good start for a dubbing with big talents, big potentials. This is promising.
Impatient to hear Vegeta... Brutal like Christopher Sabat (i hope not) or something else?!

Regarding the French dub I'll wait for the uncut airing.

Woah kaiji tang is awesome as vegeta, but it's way too close to sabat's version!!! average db fans won't even figure out difference lol... I guess this is the new standard for english vegeta voices!!!! Not complaining though...
Also heard little of king kai in the end, I think McConnohie is perfect for this role judging by what i heard!!!

Loving the little I heard of King Kai, Wendee Lee is a perfect fit for Bulma, but I'm soured on Beerus and Whis, and Kaiji Tang as Vegeta... they have him veering too close to Sabat's interpretation. Hopefully he'll get more familiar and comfortable with the role as time goes on.

Yeah... i think you're aware about the cut, etc... But in short, Dragon Ball Super is ridiculously censored for now on and by Toonami France, and a controversy is born, with complaints, news articles, etc...

Following this, Toonami France, trying to, by first justifying these cuts and days later, promising an uncensored broadcast (But we can feel in their answers that it is a broadcast decision a bit improvised. )

Only 4 episodes were broadcast, we're waiting to see episode 5 now... Impatient to see the massacre :lolno:
Even if an uncensored broadcast is in their plan, It does not excuse/justify these cuts... disrespectful cut, for subscribers (10€/16€ to get this channel ), and even more for the children audience: They do not deserve this in 2017.

-------------------
I hope this will not be the case for Toonami Asia.
I have faith, the BZ's episode 1 is less cut than in France.
(There was just the scene with Vegeta & Buu at the beginning, and the scene with Kame Sennin... not cut, "just" aseptised)

Vegeta was incredibly disappointing given all the hype everyone had about him. Sabat Lite. Bah.

Sorry just not liking Beerus at all.

Can't believe what they did with the french dub, I thought Toonami was the place where cartoons wer not censored.
I'm just a DB fan that's in the grey area that exists between an Hardcore Fanboy and a Casual :P
