Huh, I was expecting a better reason for why Buu can do that, but whateverJinzoningen MULE wrote:The best answer you'll get is that Boo is ass-pull magic incarnate.Gog wrote:Why is super Buu stronger than Goku?

I'd gladly give you a better one if I could, but I can't think of one plausible reason as to why it should be.Gog wrote:Huh, I was expecting a better reason for why Buu can do that, but whateverJinzoningen MULE wrote:The best answer you'll get is that Boo is ass-pull magic incarnate.Gog wrote:Why is super Buu stronger than Goku?

Perhaps its the body shape, as Akira Toriyama did confirm that Ki is based on physical ability, and it was implied by Piccolo that his body had completely changed for combatJinzoningen MULE wrote:I'd gladly give you a better one if I could, but I can't think of one plausible reason as to why it should be.Gog wrote:Huh, I was expecting a better reason for why Buu can do that, but whateverJinzoningen MULE wrote: The best answer you'll get is that Boo is ass-pull magic incarnate.

Has anyone ever noticed that in movie 3 Tullece makes artificial moonlight, waits for Gohan to transform, then destroys the artificial moonlight and Gohan is still transformed? Uh huh. Yeah.

I thought that much was obvious. Nozawa's Black sounds like a Miki Zamasu impersonation too. Zamasu has already been cast though. Sabat says "you wont believe who we got" IIRC. My hunch is Matthew Mercer, who's worked with FUNi before, great actor, & dubbed Shinichiro Miki 4 times previous IIRC.Footlong Shoe wrote:I feel like it would be too close to what we got in Xenoverse 2kinisking wrote:Is it just me or something like raditz's dub voice would be a good Goku black voice for the dub?
What I think they should do is cast Zamasu first, and then have Sean Schemmel sort of imitate that voice for Black.

With this fem Broly shit, I think Super has become my least favorite thing in the franchise. Yeah, DB- and ROF, are worse, but nothing in this franchise has annoyed me like Super has.

Wait a minute Dragon Ball, the original OG version. Man oh man I want to hear your reasons for that. Also the cell arc and android arc exists so I know that you are lying through your teeth. Also could you really explain with the Dragon Ball bit? ᗒ ͟ʖᗕ Really want to know thatSoppa Saia People wrote:With this fem Broly shit, I think Super has become my least favorite thing in the franchise. "DB-" means Dragon Ball Minus, the bonus chapter of the Jaco manga.Gog wrote:Wait a minute Dragon Ball, the original OG version. Man oh man I want to hear your reasons for that. As Footlong Shoe said, I meant DB minus. I was on my phone I didn't feel like writing it out.Gog wrote:Wait a minute Dragon Ball, the original OG version. And as an adamant Cell arc hater, I find minus and ROF much worse.

So. Why the hell did no other character learn the Kaioken?

Toriyama forgot, that's the only reason to why. Also the only reason why they never learned it was because he wanted to focus on the saiyansProjectAlpha22 wrote:So. Why the hell did no other character learn the Kaioken?

I won't even go so far, but for whatever reason, it wasn't significant enough in his mind to continue using it. I think the question was asking for an in-universe answer, though. Because there just isn't any in universe reason for the human's, and piccolo to not actually get Kaio kenJinzoningen MULE wrote:I won't even go so far, but for whatever reason, it wasn't significant enough in his mind to continue using it. It's the same motive for teleportation: It's a difficult technique to master & in Kaio-ken's case, the drawbacks are deadly when misapplied. For all the effort it takes to properly hone, it's better to train for that level of strength without consequence instead. That's essentially what Goku does when he takes it as far as he can.ProjectAlpha22 wrote:So. Why the hell did no other character learn the Kaioken?
Re: Non-thread-worthy discussions
We don't know how long it takes for them to master it, and obviously it was worth it since he learned it in the first place. Everyone else is just as adept at learning techniques as Goku. Also, kaioken is extremely worth it for non-saiyans because they seem to have hit a brick wall from regular training. Piccolo could train for a decade and not multiply his power 20x like he could just by learning kaioken in less than a year .Nejishiki wrote:It's the same motive for teleportation: It's a difficult technique to master & in Kaio-ken's case, the drawbacks are deadly when misapplied. I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Re: Non-thread-worthy discussions
Because once Super Saiyan became a thing, the Kaioken became obsolete. It's always been seen as a high risk-high reward technique, and I guess the cast weren't willing to gamble on such a technique in a futile attempt to keep up. The fact that Goku still has issues using the Kaioken to this day, speaks volume of how much of a difficult technique it is to learn, let alone master.ProjectAlpha22 wrote:So. Why is misinformation so prevalent, in everywhere outside of Kanzenshuu? Especially here http://dbmenglish.freeforums.net/thread ... rs?page=20 it just hurts me reading through what these shmucks are saying.
Re: Non-thread-worthy discussions
"Dende" is apparently slang for dick.
I honestly wonder why and whether or not it became slang before or after DBZ came to the US.
