Not happening, she's wearing U6 Saiyan robes (female version and also made to resemble Broly, she even has the same things on the ears as Broly)

It's kind of scary how super isn't shying away form even the likes of fem broly..
Black kind of worked because his personal was okay, one wrong move with these additions and it will be a trainwreck

That would be a crime. It would be the cruelest tease they could have ever done.

I don't care for Broly as a character, never have, never will. He was just a testosterone screaming, overly large, brainless monster that lacked any intellect in the world. But this female Broly has got me curious. It's such a random idea nobody saw coming. There's no way in a million years they would show her and not add her to the show.

Black worked in large part due to Masako Nozawa's stellar performance voicing him. She brought Black to life, and gave him such a sinister personality that people naturally gravitated towards.

This arc is going to be brutal if its not good.
Hahaha
So many people jumping because of this line, Yes this is supposed to be a very big and good arc, the most humongous we have ever gotten in Dragonball, this arc really will be a deciding factor whether super will be remembered fondly or not in the years to come, it has been going on as pretty average as of now even if the ft arc was insanely popular..
At Least for me, this is the latest arc I am putting my expectations on, so yes it has the potential to make or break the series for me till the next bigger badder arc comes along
Super isn't seen as average, which is my point. Future Trunks Saga wasn't just well received, it is seen as one of the best arc in the franchise by many. Saying it's may or break for you on a personal level is fine, but as whole that narrative isn't true.

There were a lot of working parts that made Black work for fans, which is why many fans are not happy with the manga version of Black despite him taking the same actions as the anime.

A thought just accured to me. What if the female Saiyan will remind the Goku/Vegeta and Co. of Trunks instead of Broly. "Instead of wow she's just like Broly" we see "Wow she's kinda like Trunks." That certainly could raise more eyebrows.

I still think it is a mistake going in with high expectations, I loved the Black arc and I like what I am seeing so far but...I didn't have much expectation for Black arc given how ehh the U6 arc was and the premise for the arc, and I had pretty high expectations for the U6 arc only to be left disappointed. I am in the middle for this, I advice others to adjust their expectations too.
I don't have very high expectations of the upcoming arc but I don't blame others having high expectations. This arc is arguably bringing in the most hype of Super to date and with all of these new characters being introduced so they must be on their A game and not screw it up.

I know a plethora of individuals here in Canada that gave up on Super as a franchise either before the FT arc and for some even after it. But after this new trailer came out on the weekend those people are giving Super another chance. Not only that, but people that strongly said they will wait for the English Dub to watch Super are now backing down on that and are going to watch this arc in Japanese despite them never watching the show in Japanese before. Even casual Dragonball fans are raising eyebrows in interest.

The pressure is there to perform there's no doubt about it.

The pressure is always there to perform, even by fans who loved the Future Trunks Saga since they wonder, 'how are they going to top this?'. The with people who like the Champa Saga since it was like, 'okay, that was good, what else do you got?'. This holds true for any shows, not just Super.

Yeah that's true. Do you have high expectations for this upcoming arc?

To be perfectly honestly, I am not really feeling this arc right now. I was more excited over Goku Black since seeing an evil Goku done right was something I always wanted. Although I was bit disappointed about the reveal of Black's identity, I am still happy with how it was presented overall and it actually add complexity to Black's characters. I was also lurkwarm on Trunks returning, but he won me over in the end, despite Toriyama kicking him in the balls repeatedly.

The female Broly is personally eye rolling to me since I don't see why Broly needs to be in Super since he's in everything else. At least it looks like only his transformation made it in and not his actual character. Although this is bias since I hate Broly's fandom and their need to shoehorned him into Super for the last year.

So, I am going in cautiously optimistic since Toriyama and Toei delivered on the Future Trunks Saga for me.

The Future Trunks arc had a lot of great moments for sure.

Being cautiously optimistic is likely the best mentality to be entering this arc with. I don't mind another tournament as long as it isn't eerily similar to the Champa tournament. If its another 1 on 1 style tournament that really wouldn't do it for me. Making it creative with something along the lines of battle royales, fights to death, 3 vs 3 or a tag team match would make things more interesting.

Also, introducing so many characters with so many fights coupled with the difficult schedule the animators must adhere to leads me to believe that there could be some issues with the animation and fight sequences. Also, most battles not involving U7 would likely be off screen to save time and energy.

Broly's fandom are divided. Some are happy that a character that looks like Broly is here and others are upset that the female Broly isn't actually the original Broly himself.

I expect this arc to be longer than the FT arc forsure.

I personally didn't mind the Champa Saga since it introduced people who had unique abilities over just pure power. It reminded me of Dragon Ball. My only griped that only Goku and Vegeta really got to fight, although I personally loved Piccolo vs. Frost.

I hope that the other fights won't be off-screen since we won't know who will win those fights. U7 winning is kind of a foregone conclusion unless something drastic happens (which I wouldn't put past Toriyama).

I would love if Toei had Goku saying he dreamed with someone that looked like her, turning the Broly movies into dreams that Goku had. The salt would be Maximumer.

I'm excited to see what this new arc brings.

Lol yes! I would love if Toriyama had Broly's films canon but all as a dream Goku had one day during the days waiting for the Cell Games.

Technically, it's not Broly. Only his Super Saiyan form.

Which is where "half-expecting" serves its purpose.
