A thought just accured to me. What if the female Saiyan will remind the Goku/Vegeta and Co. of Trunks instead of Broly. "Instead of wow she's just like Broly" we see "Wow she's kinda like Trunks." That certainly could raise more eyebrows.

Or maybe something like referencing the Super Saiyan Grades.

The tournament is team battles.

I'm not sure if the tournament was confirmed to be team battles only though.

People have been saying that since Champa arc and yet here we are 3 major arcs later, with the franchise making a lot of money, Super always on top 10 tv rankings and no end on sight.
Super is not in that dangerous zone you're making out to be.

They just did with the others Gods of Destruction and the other two new fighters we saw Goku and SSJ Vegeta fighting.
You can complain about the Angels if you want, but there's still more diversity in them than in the Namekians.

But the individual stuff that happens in them and all the old characters returning is mostly nostalgia based. I mean next filler literally shows all the old past villains again. Why else would they do that?

Those are quite huge aspects when you think about. I mean, literal other universes? That's never been done before in Dragon Ball, and opens an endless amount of potential stories.

That's exactly why I'm scared that they're going to use this next arc to throw that potential away by having the Omni Kings destroy those universes.

It wouldn't make a whole lot of sense for them to throw out something that gives the franchise infinite potential for stories.

if the universes do get destroyed they will be just brought back. This series is named after a plot device to bring things back. And just by looking at the designs I can already tell this arc will be no where near as dark people think it will be. And I love the designs.

Thats because it's not the main time line. And they high lighted that the future trunks arc will be dark, I see no such thing for this arc.

You could have just as many potential stories with one universe, cause y'know, each one is fucking enormous! The only possibility it cuts off is those involving Planet Sadal. Besides, Dragon Ball is absolute rubbish when it comes to exploration (ironically enough, since that's what it was founded on), so the loss of the 12 wouldn't have much impact. Even losing the U6 characters would be annoying at its absolute worst.
