"Dragon Ball Super" Series Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I severely doubt we'll see anything more than 2-3 universes, at most, wiped out. Hell Goku might find a way to convince Zeno not to wipe out any of them, or perhaps its all just a big ruse in the first place and they never intended to wipe out any universes, just wanted to get stronger fighters together and this was the only way to convince them to all show up.

People actually believe that the universes will remain destroyed at the end of the arc? I guess after the ending of the last saga it doesn't seem like that crazy of an idea, but Future Timeline has always been more grim. I'm sure that everything wil be restored at the end with the super dragon balls. They already stated that a year has passed since the U6 tournament, how convenient!.

Some may be destroyed, but 6 and 7 at the very least will survive. How that comes to pass remains to be seen.Majin Jator wrote:People actually believe that the universes will remain destroyed at the end of the arc? You're stretching. Just because they don't look exactly the same doesn't mean anything, it's an obvious homage.
Come to think of it, Son Goku doesn't look all that much like a monkey, guess that means he isn't actually based off of Wukong.

Its because Harley's there, they feel like the clown must be Joker with a few image change. Heck I even get Batman vibes from the guy in the cloak.Lujin_16 wrote:I'm blind or are the others blind?? i don't see any similarities with the Joker...He looks more like a real clown than the Joker so oldschool Clown

Anyone else think bardock is going to return in a few arcs?
Broly kind of did, and isn't even canon, but bardock is and us quite popular too

That won't happen. There is literally no reason for that to happen.Ki Breaker wrote:Anyone else think bardock is going to return the in a few arcs?

There was no real reason for Bardock to get a special dedicated to him becoming the legendary Super Saiyan, either.Jinzoningen MULE wrote:That won't happen. There is literally no reason for that to happen.Ki Breaker wrote:Anyone else think bardock is going to return the in a few arcs?

That was a whole different era of Dragon Ball, and hardly tied into the main story.Doctor. wrote:There was no real reason for Bardock to get a special dedicated to him becoming the legendary Super Saiyan, either.

I don't think it was a different era. Dragon Ball was a card and toy commercial back then and it is one now.Jinzoningen MULE wrote:That was a whole different era of Dragon Ball, and hardly tied into the main story.Doctor. wrote:There was no real reason for Bardock to get a special dedicated to him becoming the legendary Super Saiyan, either.

Tho that might be true however this omni king here the same guy who destroyed 6 universe while slightly angry and nuked ft timeline so it's not like this isn't something he won't do.precita wrote:I severely doubt we'll see anything more than 2-3 universes, at most, wiped out. Bardock returning is impossible. And Broly isn't "returning" but they are using the Legendary SSJ concept. This will also finally put an end on the "EoB canon or not" debates (as it will be confirmed Bardock was never the LSSJ)Ki Breaker wrote:Anyone else think bardock is going to return in a few arcs?

Just because it serves the same general purpose doesn't mean it wasn't a different era. It was 2011, Dragon Ball as a narrative was dead.Doctor. wrote:I don't think it was a different era. Dragon Ball was a card and toy commercial back then and it is one now.

I did say "kind of" for this very reason and technically yes, he is returning to the franchise, at least to us viewers who have the capability of looking past canon, being a human and all..emperior wrote:Bardock returning is impossible. Absolutely bardock has no business whatsoever being wished back or something, but neither did the broly clone..
Super does heavy fanservice, and bardock is plenty popular..
It's not a stretch of him actually returning by some means when super is in question

That is an assumption that the form is called, 'Legendary Super Saiyan'. As far as know, the form could just be a mutation in Super.emperior wrote:Bardock returning is impossible. Hopefully Bardock returns, as other characters that didn't have to appear again, they did, why not Bardock?
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Because Bardock is dead and unlike Freeza there is no one willing to revived him. Also, unlike Online, Xenoverse, EOB, or even the original TV Special, there is nothing special about Toriyama's Bardock. He was a high low-class warrior, but he wasn't strong enough to be considered a middle class Saiyan, meaning he's even weaker than Nappa.Grimlock wrote:Hopefully Bardock returns, as other characters that didn't have to appear again, they did, why not Bardock?

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
If they want to bring back Bardock, they can do this in more than one way, him being dead isn't preventing anything. True, but how do we know Dragon Ball Online's Bardock isn't Toriyama's? His personality there and in Dragon Ball Minus are the same, so who knows?
You can also power him up by different ways too, Online/Xenoverse 2 already gave an idea to it.
