I admire Keiji's passion towards playing Vegeta.... I mean admire is ONE way to put it.

Thanks a lot! The quality is good :) Try to put your TV a little less loud, to avoid saturation (unless if you get the channel like that of course... *nostalgia of analog television*) and to encode that in 320kbps .aac (if you can)

Kaio and Goku scene was pretty enjoyable.
Goku (so, you Lex Lang) seems pretty relaxed, lax and less forced. The "It's so good to be back!" was really convincing, and I'm looking forward to hearing you in action/serious scenes.
Your tone reminds me, somehow, the Italian Goku's (New) Voice: https://youtu.be/xHttGckjcxI
https://youtu.be/fBPaH16g7nM
Similar tone in "goofy"/casual moments. He was too, cast specifically for this series and plays differently the character compared to his predecessor in DBZ.
[spoiler]And even the French Voice act differently, like "that", now :)

I think you have completely understood the character and Masako Nozawa's acting subtleties. If you can tame this role, this voice, I think you really can transmit very good work.
Do not be influenced by the nostalgic haters/Or those who want to hear only FUNi voices. You don't have the duty to replace/copy/be Sean Schemmel, you have the duty to make your own soup and to have fun with, to have fun with Goku. To have fun with your audience, the Toonami Asia's audience (and i hope, one day, European audiences), Asian children, who count on you to save the Earth (you're Goku, not the alternative voice of... for them!).

Don't go to war on the Internet, Wargreymon... that's useless and it can be demoralizing... Just have fun at your work :) Good luck

My friend has already begun the process of syncing this dub to HD video. He's allowed me to share a few clips on YouTube for you all to see.

https://youtu.be/khTRHVDX_J8

You can find more clips on the channel page. Let me know what you think. Also, I made the thumbnails myself to reflect that it's the Bang Zoom dub!

Do you mind doing more of these?
Yes, I am planning to do more of these and hopefully even the video
Nightmare Wheel wrote:Your quality is better than the India recordings and they might miss part of an episode again.
I had no clue to whether the India recording or mine was better. That day a Hindi dub of Ben 10: Alien Force was over by 10:15 (I think), causing Toonami to air this episode early.

Dragon Ball Super airs every Saturday and Sunday at 10:35 (GMT +5:30) and a repeat at 20:22 (GMT +5:30) on Toonami India

I love Borg's Goku in the preview for ep 2 in the french dub. Borg's really gotten a lot better at Goku from Kai on - both serious and not serious sides.

Please read my posts before making broad statements that are incorrect. I did say I think I'm gonna bail, but I was engaged by the varied replies, so I stayed on a bit longer.

And, BTW, it's you who attach, "the less genuine" to my statements. I am as authentic as you can get.

And PS: who are YOU to tell me to make up my mind already? Seriously...you got some NADS, my friend. As a member of this forum I can post that I am wavering between spending anymore of my time debating with nuckleheads, or not, as many times as I want. I suppose it should only "really" concern you if I am quoting you in my thread.

Seriously, this group could use a chill pill or two. You guys want to create an environment where the people behind the scenes on the show/shows that you claim to love can feel welcome and have intelligent conversations? Well, news flash, you're missing the mark. Not all of you,of course, but the "haters" "cynics", "judge-ers", and "critics", are really mucking up the territory here. And that's why I have considered/am considering, "bailing" on this forum.
I feel critique is part of the job, is it not? If someone doesn't give an opinion on your voice, then you may never figure out something about it that could make it better. The words we said were not said as an insult toward you (well, at least mine weren't) but rather just my first impressions. We love this series, and we all have something we seem to love about Bang Zoom so far, so perhaps once you get further along these opinions will change, but there is no reason to call us names. Once again, I say this with as much respect as possible, you are a giant reason why I am getting into voice acting myself, and I hope that you will at least respect my point of view on the matter.

Vegeta: Wish it didn't have the gruff...sounds too much like a Sabat impression. I think Sabat's a great actor, but I've always wanted to hear a normal sounding English Vegeta. Alas...

Oh boy.
Dude I just went back to that episode. King Kai sounds like Justin Roiland got drunk and crashed a recording session, and I love it.
While I respectfully disagree with that description (it sounds more elderly to me and I really like it), I do find this last post funny only because some episodes of Rick and Morty actually have been recorded at Bang-Zoom's studios...so Justin Roiland theoretically could get drunk and crash a recording session.
Think about it have you ever seen King Kai and Justin Roiland in the same room O_o?!?!

Hi, administrator here again.
Vados_chan wrote:My god Funi fanboys are obnoxious twats. Sorry not sorry but reading through this thread against my better judgement has pissed me right off.

Newsflash they fucking suck. They are the most overrated dubbing group of all time. On top of that they have pretty much monopolized the industry and most of the VAs are complete dickheads who walk around acting like their shit doesn't stink. I hope one these days they go under or some other group steps up to challenge them, cause they are cancer.

Rant over.
This is an inappropriate way to have a discussion.

Here are two quotes from posts you have said earlier on.

"Anyway, peace to you all, and have a great day!"

"My final statement here..."

Both of these quotes suggested to me you were leaving, yet you didn't. I can't freaking stand people who say "Oh, I'm leaving. I don't like the community here. Tame a chill pill guys.", and instead of leaving, you keep regurgitating those words in different ways.

You're welcome to stay or leave, but if you're gonna stay, stop saying you're wanting to leave. Because there is no reason or relevance to your choice on staying in this particular thread. It's the Bang Zoom dub thread, not the Lex Lang Kanzenshuu membership thread.

You have done nothing but counter any criticism you disagree with and answered very few questions regarding the behind the scenes.

Because I swear, I'll flip a table if I see you say "I want to leave." anymore. It's obvious you're not genuine when you make those statements, yet you have no problem repeating yourself as an attempt to win an argument. Well, it's not going work.

I'm gonna change the subject here a little. So, we know the ADR director is a female from Lex referring to an action from them as "her". Now, this brings me to believe its Caitlin Tiffany Glass, however, after a brief look at her filmography, another thing cast my attention. " The director is new to this project and getting her bearings". She is nowhere new, starting in 2004 as an ADR with Case Closed. Any other ideas that could also be candidates?

All of Caitlin Glass' directorial work is done in Texas. It's not her. The only female VD I know of who has done work not just in California but at Bang Zoom itself is Wendee Lee.

So after listening to the audio of episode 2 I am going to give my thoughts. For the voice actors who did not try to voice match the Funimation cast great performances. Erica Mendez as Trunks, not sure who Bulma was but i recognized her voice, and man Whis was awesome was that Doug Holtz. I wish all of them would of decided to abandon the voice match and do their own thing as Kaiji was a bad attempt to copy Sabat which is a shame since i know he has abilities far beyond this. He was awesome in Fate Stay Night UBW as Archer. And Lex Lang just is not a good choice for Goku. I thought Beerus and King Kai were ok.

Wendee Lee is Bulma, reprising the role from the Harmony Gold dub & yes, Doug Erholtz is Whis.

I like his Whis quite a lot, many people seem to think it's bland that I've shown the dub to, but I really like it. Can't pinpoint it, but that blandness in the voice makes him sound fed up, which is very Whis-like.

Edit: Tone, not voice. I'll leave the original for reference though.
