Keep in mind: Current gohan is shown to be at least base goku's level and Back in rof while being in first form frieeza was concerned and angry when gohan went ss which was supposed to express he may be weaker(just reference to his battle with goku, but now in first form). I think Freeza expressed disgust after seeing Gohan going Super Saiyan because that reminded him of Goku when he did for the first time. It shouldn't be an indicator that Super Saiyan Gohan is stronger than Freeza currently was. Instead, everyone implied Freeza was way above their power even while doing anything. I think that includes Gohan as a Super Saiyan. But if he had Super Saiyan 2 available at that point, perhaps Gohan could have a shot against 1st form Freeza.

Assuming Gohan disguised as Great Saiyaman is now near Goku's level in the same forms, then he could easily deal with 4th form Freeza without going Super Saiyan, but that would require a huge increase in power. Has Gohan become dramatically stronger in relation to when he fought the revived Freeza? It's not clear yet. From my understanding this is what they tried to convey, Gohan can go toe to toe with SS goku when serious and is capable of hurting him..

Well that could be one of interpretation, however this is also another one. I believe it could work and be explained for Freeza to be both disgusted and concerned about ss gohan kicking his ass just like goku has done to him on Namek. Frieeza had so much pride that he wouldn't allow himself to transform as he couldn't imagine to be beaten again by any form. Everyone being scared of frieeza would easily refer to knowledge about frieeza's transformations and it was only bigger due to him being just so powerfull in first form..., Krillin's asking for buu's appearance implies first form frieeza would be chalenged or loose. Also another important point is that gohan couldn't maintain ss for too long and most likely his power was dropping constantly that why frieeza wasn't worried but anyway wanted to take him off guard otherwise he would be showing off against him as against picoolo in third form, or against vegeta in final form on Namek

Well, me neither. It could be the case that they nerfed Goku on purpose, so that sparring with Gohan would look cool to the viewer.

If Gotenks is weaker than Base Vegeta who is (probably still) weaker than Frost, then Frost wins. But if Gotenks is still supposed to be above SS2 tier, then he has a solid advantage.

Nah Gohan even said he still doesn't train. The writers just don't care anymore and they forgot how strong Goku was. Same thing with the universe 6 tournament. All those fighters weren't meant to be god tier.

All gohan said he doesn't fight anymore but that doesn't change that he has train recently with piccolo and at the end at the f.trunks saga we saw him with his signature bang right before trunks depart implying he was training hard during the time.

I know he was weakened. What I'm saying he wasn't weakened so much he went from God tier to Cell tier. Maybe he went from Buu tier to Cell tier. And the argument of Goku going ssj doesn't really mean much since he went ssj against Gohan who admitted he still doesn't train.
