Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 74
TOEI is a clusterfuck.
After watching many animes with fast paced fights. I just wonder if those potentials are ever coming to DBS.
Really though. TOEI is like bringing back all of those animes.
The schedule can't get any better if this is the only animator we had. We need something to spice the series back-to-back. I don't want the series ended like this. I don't want the series to be categorized as a mid-low show.
Because the production is in danger, it affects both the storyboard and plot. Making both plot and animation in the verge of destruction. Feels bad for them animators.
The schedule really hurted at this point that everything got affected.
Are they really going to fix this? This series got so much potential, yet they ruined it. Like really, the management is a god-defying production.
Dang, I got trigerred just like when I first come to this thread.

Relax. Super doesn't suddenly explode because Toei announced another show.
How about we wait and see how this new arc turns out before kicking their door in.

I'm just thinking what have they done to the series/franchise I loved so much.Ajay wrote:Relax. Super doesn't suddenly explode because Toei announced another show.

But it seems that there's no room for consideration.
It just, I feel like they should fix the series by giving us a big-comeback as a responsibility of the terrible start of the series. I bet they're like "Super is all planned for the future and let's make a new anime, since it's gonna be okay. Nothing new that'll happen". You know that something never goes according to plan.
I hope they don't take any resources from Super, like they did with Karasawa on World Trigger.

Guys calm down.
If we start losing key staff, we can panic. Suffer from anxiety won't lead us anywhere.

They won't take any Super staff away knowing a big big arc is coming, most likely the majority of Tiger Mask will end there and maybe somebody will come to Super.

It's technically good, which is why I uploaded it to the booru in the first place, but it's very bland.iAnimationLover_ wrote:So, what do you guys think of this cut from Yamamuro?
There are a lot of cuts like that in that portion of the film. Well-animated stuff that's let down by flat storyboarding.

There's some animation sequences in the GT opening that should be in the booru too.Ajay wrote:It's technically good, which is why I uploaded it to the booru in the first place, but it's very bland.iAnimationLover_ wrote:So, what do you guys think of this cut from Yamamuro?

1:03-1:07 it's nothing special, but the animation is nice.

Right..I don't think it is a coincidence that we had so many fillers maybe to give them time if this makes senseAlee9977 wrote:They won't take any Super staff away knowing a big big arc is coming, most likely the majority of Tiger Mask will end there and maybe somebody will come to Super.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 74
With no details on the new Sailor Moon it's certainly not worth getting worried about. It'll probably start after Tiger Mask and Appli Monsters are over, and if I'm not mistaken with the last Sailor Moon the animator cross over was mainly with PreCure, correct? Also it's worth noting that the last Sailor Moon was a single cour and I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if the new one is too.
Even before that I think we might be surprised (not massively so mind you) buy the staff for the next arc. We've already seen tiny bits of cross over with Tiger Mask and Appli Monsters recently and I wouldn't be surprised to see that continue in a somewhat bigger way and we might even get some more surprising regulars like how we have Kenji Miuma as a regular now and Shida comes in from time to time.
If Super's schedule is at least average by the time Tiger Mask and Appli Monsters end I can see the show getting a nice shot in the arm in terms of staff from both of them.Alee9977 wrote:They won't take any Super staff away knowing a big big arc is coming, most likely the majority of Tiger Mask will end there and maybe somebody will come to Super.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 74
Plus, most of the issues people had with Super have been reduced by the Champa Saga and even more with the Future Trunks Saga and even with some of the breather episodes. There's still room for improvement, of course, but isn't like the show is on death's door and this next arc will determine Super's future so the animation needs to One Punch Man great.
I mean, this narrative had existed since Super left the retellings a year ago. How many 'last chances' does it have? If you don't like Super by this point, chances are you're just not going to like it. Animation-wise, if Toei can keep the same quality they had in the Future Trunks Saga, they will be sitting pretty.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 74
I won't be worried about the new Sailor Moon series yet. There are only 20 or so episodes of Tiger Mask left. Appli Monsters I guess is gonna end in the near future, so some of their staff is going to move onto the new Sailor Moon series. The Super staff will be fine. Its among the top 2 Toei shows along with One Piece. The Achilles heel for this series has been the schedule, which they are trying to improve. Plus we also have Miuma Kenji as a regular now. I have heard that TAP have some very talented staff, with El Neuvo being one of them.(Sorry if I got his name wrong). I don't know much about that guy, so I will really appreciate it if any of you can tell me more about him. He showed up in one of the fillers recently, that doesn't guarantee that he is a regular, but I hope that he becomes one. The only issue that I can think of is getting more talented staff. But its still early to worry about that. We will have to wait and watch how this arc turns out. Plus I am really interested to see what new animators might turn up in this arc, aside from the ones that have been confirmed.
Also don't forget guys Super showing up out of nowhere affected Toei's other shows, as well as Super. Its not that Toei don't care about the show, its just that they found themselves in a mess because of the other parties involved.
Another thing that I will like to mention is the Storyboarding. Toyotaro mentioned in the NYcon interview that he was going to be ahead of the anime for this arc, and I don't think he was lying, I mean why would he. I think he already is working on it and must be a few chapters through. This also gives the staff at Toei a good reference for their storyboards, because storyboarding has also been an issue for Super as a result of the abnormal schedule. The ep.41 storyboard that Ajay posted previously is a good example of that. The initial U6 episodes definitely benefited from referring Toyotaro's manga chapters. Also in the past we did talk about The Dragon Ball Room and its possible influence on the Super. Sueisha has great control over the series and if they want the Manga to be weekly, I definitely feel they are in a position now to do so. So the next few months are definitely going to be interesting.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 74
Guys relax. A company doesn't suddenly announce something new like that. There is a lot of planning behind.
They do tend to release "mediocre" products but I think since super is starting to explode, the key staff will remain unchanged.
But yeah I don't see additional staff moving to the show.
IF the schedule has indeed improved, I guess that the series will reach a point where the quality will remain steady but we in general won't see anything worth talking about (basically like every other Toei animation production).
I am more concerned with the fact that a gigantic tournament is the series 4th season than whether the animation will get worse.
Is Toei animation actually considering the future of the series or they are literally writing plots out of their butt ignoring WHERE the series will go in the future?
Obviously super won't be done after the Zeno tournament but did anyone in Toei or Toyotaro or Toriyama consider where the series will go after that?
They went straight to the tournament instead of exploring each universe, which is an....interesting choice......
So will season 6 be a tournament between gods of destruction?
Will the finsl arc include a tournament between gods of destruction and human?
I think they use their best ideas too early and this will be a double edged sword in the future

Toei does lots of high quality stuff, One Piece and PreCure regularly get awesome animation, Tiger Mask has had plenty of great stuff and we just had a One Piece movie was was outstanding.Mazingerdestro wrote:Guys relax. Toei doesn't just decide the staff of shows, the people in charge of a specific show can try to grab certain people but it's entirely up to those people what they work on. If Super's production improves and it reaches at least average or near average production times then the show will be more attractive to work on and animators will be more willing to work on it.
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 74
If it helps, season 3 of Sailor Moon Crystal was well ahead of schedule. Back in June, as the series was wrapping up, animators on the show were all mentioning how unusually good the production schedule was.
I have little doubt in my mind that this new season will be just as ahead of schedule as the last. It won't being taxing in the least. They're living the dream right now, I'm sure.
