How much for all

Post by Super 17 » Mon Jun 11, 2007 3:18 pm

Right Now, I'm in vacation in Mexico....... and I went to the person who sells DB, DBZ, DBGT Bxxes original as in Japan. The price for each set is $220. Overall, everything, all the episodes, and all the movie and specials, from db to dbgt is $2000, is that how much it's supposed to be or is that too expensive.

That makes no sense at all, because there are 5 Dragonboxes...

Yeah... Are you sure you're not buying those yellow and blue Cantonese or Chinese sets?

How do the boxes look? How many discs in all? What's the shop called? And more importantly, where exactly in Mexico are you at? I hate to jump to conclusions, but you're probably looking at bootlegs. Maybe not the infamous yellow and blue bootlegs, but bootlegs none the less. Be careful, unless you don't really mind buying bootlegs. :P

As LONG as they don't have subtitles, they are good. At least from what I've heard.
Although, price tag seems a bit suspiscious... are these used?

Dude, if there's more than 5 sets, that confirms they're bootlegs (as does the fact if they have any type of subtitle track). Maybe they're copies of the ones that Japanese fan got arrested for? Do yourself a favor, give the sets the finger and walk away. There's no way the very-limited Dragonboxes are just gonna pop up that cheap these days.

None taken, Tanooki. They probably are bootlegs not just because he is getting them from a Mexican guy. It would be no different if it was a American guy or some guy from some other place (Like Amsterdam or China or Russia).

There you go: they're the Cantonese/Chinese bootlegs, not the dragon boxes.

Because whoever's selling them wants potential buyers to think they're legit, and pay large amounts of money for them.

Watched Ed, Edd n' Eddy lately? It's called a "scam."

Dayspring is wrong. They're legit. Buy a few if you can and ebay them. Make big bucks.

Yes, he is joking. Do not buy these sets (especially at $220, yikes).

Because he's hoping you're a "sucker". Think about it. What reason would this guy have to *not* lie to you? Especially if he thinks he can get more money from you?

Considering also that it has cost very little to produce these anyway.

The legit Hong Kong Cantonese boxsets are black with a big portrait of a person that best represents that part of the storyline. They also include the Cantonese dub of the series along with Chinese subtitles.
The world is your's.
