Probably will happen but will it be off screen is the question? The U6 arc beginning was no doubt rushed and we only got to see a bit of training stuff but I hope that isn't the case here just dedicate one or two episodes to showing everyone train or hell I'd even take half an episode.dbzfan7 wrote:Damn it I don't want the tournament just to drop. I wouldn't call the training for the Champa Saga rushed only only Goku and Vegeta did any real training. Piccolo just went into a corner meditated. We didn't need an episode of that.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:Probably will happen but will it be off screen is the question? We got 30 seconds of Goku and Vegeta training. Dragon Ball Z dragged their training sessions just like everything else. In the manga, the training sessions are not long at all.kinisking wrote: We got 30 seconds of Goku and Vegeta training. That's rushed when you compare it to DBZ.

So according to the episode 77 spoilers, Goku actually is the one who calls Zeno and reminds him about that tournament. By doing this, if universes are actually destroyed after losing , some of the guilt would be on Goku's shoulders as unintentional as his motives truly were.

Only for hardcore fans. Training episodes have been cut down since Kai. The long sessions from the Saiyan Saga were reduced to a couple of episodes and the training for the androids was only half an episode. Even the training for Resurrection 'F' was an episode before Freeza returned.kinisking wrote: Not everything has to be like the manga. What causal fans do you know that don't like the training scenes? Getting stronger is an integral part of Dragonball, if they're a fan yet don't like that then why are they watching ? You don't really have proof that they don't like it. Also, those are all longer than 30 seconds of training. The Champa arc had horrible pacing like the rest of super.HeroR wrote:Only for hardcore fans. Training episodes have been cut down since Kai. Quite a few. They may seeing some parts of the characters getting stronger like Goku and Gohan in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber that happened at the same time Vegeta was fighting Semi-Perfect Cell or Goku training on his way to Namek. However, they become annoyed when there is nothing but an episode of training that doesn't move the plot. They watched for the action and story, not to see people in training for five episodes, especially when the show only airs once a week. Why do I need proof? Do I need to have the people I know come on this forum and give a witness account?kinisking wrote: What causal fans do you know that don't like the training scenes? Super is paced just fine. I don't want Dragon Ball Z pacing, we're long past that era. We didn't need an entire episode or even half of episode watching Vegeta and Goku beat each other up or Piccolo sitting in a corner.

We still have 4 places left for team Universe 6 so there is a good chance that 1 is a Namekian. Maybe we might see some more characters in the mew opening or in a preview trailer after episode 76.omaro34 wrote:I wouldn't mind seeing another Namekian in the tournament. Majority of people definitely like training episodes especially when they are rewatching an arc.kinisking wrote:What causal fans do you know that don't like the training scenes? Surely everyone wants to see all 10 fighters training together just for the interactions and all the possible comedic moments.

If you're going to make such a huge claim you have to have something backing up . And there's a huge difference between a episode of training that doesn't move the plot and 30 seconds of training. There's a lot of wiggle room in there that Super should be taking advantage of. 30 seconds is extremely quick paced.HeroR wrote:Quite a few. Super isn't paced just fine. Sometimes it's too slow like episode 8 and parts of early Future trunks arc and then there is episodes like 64 where they literally skip scenes.

As I said, do you want me to get every Dragon Ball fan I know in my everyday life and even on forums I have visited and copied their dislike for long training arcs? And the 30 seconds was just fine giving that only Goku and Vegeta were doing any real training. Piccolo was mediating somewhere, Buu wasn't training, and Monaka was probably doing his day job. If it was the whole gang training like in the Saiyan Saga, I would agree that 30 seconds is too short. It wasn't, so I don't need more than 30 seconds.kinisking wrote: If you're going to make such a huge claim you have to have something backing up . Super is paced fine, especially compared to Z which drags. Even fans of Z admitted that they can't stand watching one episode at that pace anymore. There are people on the Toonami threads that called Kai slowly paced. They prefer stuff like JoJo, Full Metal Alchemist, Kill La Kill, or even One Punch Man in terms of pacing. That is the pacing of modern anime that Super is conforming to. Pacing will always be subject, but overall, people like Super's pacing. Even the slow parts of Future Trunks Saga build the story and characters. It wasn't just people training for four to five episodes like the Saiyan Saga.

If the training has something interesting going on, like Goku and Krillin going to find the paradise Grass, then I'm all for "Training episodes". But if it's just going to be a number of episodes of lifting weights and throwing punches in the air then skip them I say. Sounds boring. The only time I thought those were acceptable was when something else was going on. Like with Gohan and Krillins adventures on Namek while we occasionally cut to Goku doing push ups in his ship.

But we already saw them go straight into the tournament in the U6 arc, and it would feel rushed if they do it again. it makes the actual tournament when we get there have even more hype surrounding it when we have preparation episodes leading up to it. They should take their time to be honest.Boo Machine wrote:If the training has something interesting going on, like Goku and Krillin going to find the paradise Grass, then I'm all for "Training episodes". 30 seconds still isn't fine for 2 of them. Z has horrible pacing too but that doesn't mean Super I'd any better. Z was slow and Super is too fast. They can and should find a sweet spot. Episode 64 was confusing as hell because one moment it's Vegeta and black fighting then suddenly there are clones everywhere and Goku's fighting with him . They also skip kid trunks versus future trunks . It hurts the story.

It was fine for what is was since we already gotten episodes of Goku and Vegeta training in Reserrection 'F'. If they're just doing simple sparring or just an extention of that, we don't need to see it.kinisking wrote: 30 seconds still isn't fine for 2 of them. Most called Super superior because people in general prefer fast and to the point, than long-winded. It's only a few who call it too rush outside of some episodes like 66. And missing Future Trunks spar with Kid Trunks didn't hurt the story since they weren't the main story. The main story was stopping Zamasu from killing Gowasu. Trunks and little Trunks was a side act.
