I have weird feeling this tournament is going to suck because toei toyble and toriyama can't handle these type of arc because there average or mediocre writers but I'm hoping I'm wrong and this arc will be Legit
its funny you mention frost, when most fans hate the character.
Is there problem with it plus I wasn't talking about the fandom
No, its just that frost who had arguable the best backstory among them, is the most hated while Hit has the second least and is the most popular from that arc.

And almost every I know who watches Super loves Hit and most people I know desprise Frost. So that pretty much means nothing.

If you're looking for everyone of the 120 fighters to get equal relevant fights, all the destroyers and their angles to get equal screen time and everyone new to have a detailed back story then yes, it's too big for Super and every other anime out there.

What we're going to get and what's eralistically to expect is 2-3 episodes of quick fights like what the original tournaments had to reach the main fighters and the finals will probably have 2-3 main fighters from each universe.

I'm not sure how many destroyers they'll focus on but I think it's safe to say that the clown and U10's destroyer and angles will be focused on at least.

Try to be positive everyone (look who's talking  ) we're in for a really good arc that'll have good fights and it'll open the doors even more for future stories.

Dude do you really believe toei, toriyama and especially toei to handled an arc with 140 characters?

They know how big this arc is otherwise they would never do 11 weeks of fillers and i'm sure the start of this arc will be slow paced...Episode 77 is mostly
focused on Bulma pregnant and 1-2 episodes for C-17 etc...Still we have to wait for the fights and that's a good sign

Ya know, as big as this tournament sounds, I actually can't see it being that long. A couple of universe will probably be eliminated early. Hell one universe might get disqualified and destroyed just to show us the stakes.

So I'm not terribly worried about it. Though I understand where the concern comes from.

Most of the fights will obviously be skipped over or shown in quick montages.

Just as long as all the main characters get one long fight on-screen, then its fine.

I see a lot of disrespect for the author that brought us all together. He might be inconsistent, but calling him mediocre is just rude. He'd had amazing ideas and the fact that we're here proves that.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

I could see them having a montage of the less important fights, for the sake of getting this thing moving.

    I'm counting on you, Toei.

We still have no idea how long the arc will last though, and considering the build up to it, it'll definitely be the longest one in Super. It could perhaps even be one of the longest yet in all the series'. At least long enough to showcase all off the universes at a good pace and all of their fighters. Considering it's something this big, it wouldn't be wise to blow through it like they've done with the previous arcs in this series.

Hopefully Toriyama takes some notes from Togashi for this arc.

The torunament between 2 universes was 14 episodes so this'll be at least 30.

The dark tournament arc was among the best story arcs I've ever seen so anything like that would be OK with me.

His execution if the original is the reason Dragonball is still popular, even after all these years people still emerge saying they were inspired by Dragonball..
That's some excellent story telling right there

It's also one of the only 20+ year old stories that's still relevant today.

There's still a lot of anime from the 80's or 90's that's still popular or relevant today. Sailor Moon for one thing, many of the Gundam series, etc.
