I definitely don't understand where this "capper are totally incompetent" stuff is coming from. Do you know how uncommon it is for people to have Toonami Asia in HD over there?
I think what Ajay was getting at in terms of incompetence is that they missed the first few minutes of episode 2 and there's a few points where episode 3 seems to crap out briefly. Not the fact it isn't 1080p or whatever.

Good god, when I first heard Goku, Buu and Satan, all I thought is that this dub was gonna be an imitation of Funimation's dub. With some exceptions, I was right. Is really hard for the actors of Vegeta, Piccolo and Yamcha to come up with different takes instead of just doing Sabat impressions?

That's pretty much my main problem with it. I already dislike Roger's take quite a bit. To each their own though.
I honestly don't see what's wrong with Roger as Sonic.

Yes.

Ajay and I were watching it about the same time and I pointed out the glitch in ep.3 to him.

ETA: Besides, the BDs and Crunchyroll exist. It's not hard to MAKE it 1080.

I mean, that's my thing. We all think Lex can understand characters quickly right? So imagine R.C.S's Sonic with the understanding of the character that Drummond brought to his iteration. It would be fantastic, at least I think so.

Oh, btw, does anyone know the release schedule for sure, yet?
Like, is it just weekly like US Toonami and Japan, or are we getting more than one a week?

The American Toonami on Cartoon Network gets one premiere a week between 2 airings. The Asian Toonami channel will have 2 new episodes a week on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Was the hate for Kai largely unjustified?

The story of Kai's production is far more interesting than the actual product.

Yeah like arian said, Toonami asia and India would be airing 2 episodes every week, so next week this dub would surpass funi dub in terms of episodes!!! This sure would get popular from then!!!

I definitely don't understand where this "capper are totally incompetent" stuff is coming from. Do you know how uncommon it is for people to have Toonami Asia HD over there? The fact that we're getting this show at all, thanks to them, is a blessing. So unless you yourself are willing to go to Asia, subscribe to Toonami Asia HD, and have the proper equipment to record and encode it, appreciate what you're getting. As for DVDs/Blu-rays, don't count on it. There is no chance in HFIL that this dub will ever be released on DVD there, let alone the world. Very few dubs of this kind have had physical releases in the past, nowadays it's just unheard of.
Spot on, And TAI has never capped english dub anime or cartoon... He wants to preserve hindi dub animes as they are forever lost if broadcaster decides not to air in tv anymore (Kochikame is best example, hindi dub was spectacular but broadcaster pulled it off air due to complaints from PTA)!! The fact the he agreed to cap this spending his time itself is a blessing...

I am so TORN. On one hand the litteral script is affecting the quality, but this is what I've wanted for years. A DB dub NOT held back by past translations, using Ki and Deity and Tienshinhan, and MAYBE Shenlong. It's a shame we couldn't get Kaio-sama or Kaioshin perhaps translated as God of Worlds and God of Gods or something like that.

I feel sorry for David as the narrator, he is great in Kill la Kill and JoJo cause they're over the top shows, for Super it doesn't fit as well, same with his voicing of Kaioshin. Some of the voices are trash some are debatable some I could go either or on and some I love to death. Erica Mendez as Trunks especially. And I say this as I watch the Funi dub as I type.

Did the narrator get raspier? Can't say it helps his performance.

Lots of run on sentences near the start. The script is killing these performances.

Mai sounds familiar. Pilaf doesn't sound too bad in this dub, Shu is basically what you'd expect.

Michael McConnohie's King Kai really gets to shine during the second half of this episode. His dialogue about Beerus sounded pretty good, I just wish he'd use more varied tones. Somehow he always seems to sound like a drill sergeant.

Next episode is the infamous episode 5. Should be a fun watch

Just finished and definitely pilaf gang VA's are amazing especially pilaf....
pilaf - He sounds more closer to japanese VA especially with all the voice cracks, definitely awesome take!!!
shu - Shu sounds great too, i believe Tom bauer is his VA...
Mai - Even though voice acting was great i felt like they used some voice filter to make it sound more childlike (don't know for sure though)!!!

Definitely now that most of character voices are introduced, I can safely say that this would turn out to be one of the best dub ever !!! Glad Bang zoom got this chance, i'm looking forward for more!!!

And guys i saw funimation's episode 5 preview and it was completely different from bang zoom one!!!!

Oracle Fish is female in the original version, yes. We're having another Pu'er incident.

I wasn't taking offense while answering the question. I regularly listen to the Bang Zoom's Dragon Ball Super so it's not as if I'm in this topic to cause controversy.

If that is an unofficial, illegitimate Facebook page sharing episodes, you all need to remove those links in your posts.

And considering they're sharing entire episodes via MEGA and demanding credit... c'mon, y'all.

Honestly it might seem strange, but Mai sounds like Stephanie Nadolny with a voice filter. I wouldn't be surprised considering that she does work in LA now. Also, Lex's Kamehameha sounded very weak and it's strange how he pronounces the me's as "meh" and not "may"

The script is really, really awkward. It's way too literal. They should've spent a bit more time making it more varied and natural. It's really messing with everyone's performances.

Still loving Michael McConnohie. Really wish he was the narrator instead. The narrator is just going a little nuts with that rasp. There's no heft to his performance. Lex Lang's getting better. He's bringing out a bit more energy this time. But, I wish the director let him go a bit more nuts with his foley. I like that Kuririn's voice is smoother. The Pilaf gang sounded pretty good. But both Kaioshin sounded pretty awkward. #18's delivery is too normal, but she has a nice voice. And, I'm really disappointed that nearly every character that Sabat voiced is an impersonation. : / Each and every one of the actors they cast would have more potential using their own voices.

Both Lex and Roger are good actors, but I don't know. I think they're far too old for Sonic. Acting-wise, Roger's really good. But, there were times that Sonic just sounded like Knuckles. He fits the Boom design more, though.

OH MY GOD YOU HEARD IT TOO? I'm almost positive it's Nadolny. At least, I want to hope. Also, Mr.VegettoEX, I apologize for any posts of the link I may have made. It's impossible for us who don't live in India or Asia to watch this otherwise.

My notes, per usual, will be up in a bit!

I mean, I really think he could pull it off if we gave him a shot, which especially after how much of a dick he was (he's gone now, I can say that right?) is something I find hard to say.

Also, Roger seems to have gotten it a lot more recently, with Boom, and his occasional Sonic Twitter Q&A. That's just my opinion though, and as I have always preached, everyone is entitled to their own!
