Google "Definition of Reboot". What you're saying makes no sense.

It's a new arc. A story that was planned after Goku met Zeno. 2 month filler episodes are to prepare for the next big arc, it's been done before. The opening song has been changed in Z and Kai and every other long running anime. The DB Room is not related to Toei animation studio.

Reboot would be the wrong word, if everything went well then this could be a like a fresh start for the series, but don't get too hyped up just yet. I'm very optimistic about the quality of the arc, but don't let optimism turn into expectation because you could end up being disappointed.

The gap between arcs is actually double the previous biggest gap so far in the series, so that's pretty significant. The Dragon Ball Room does oversee the entire franchise, so they are relevant to Super and Toei.
A new opening doesn't mean anything on its own, but the timing could go along with the idea that they might want this to be a fresh start for the series.

Perhaps what Lujin means is a "soft reboot," in which an ongoing story (told through anything from comics to movies) attempts to start fresh with a new chapter in order to bring in new viewers or introduce new characters (and in some cases, new art direction), without effectively erasing everything we've seen before. Films like Star Wars: The Force Awakens and comics like Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye are excellent examples of this idea.

As for Dragon Ball Super undergoing the "soft reboot" treatment, I'd say it's... very unlikely. The new Dragon Ball Room and having so much time between arcs are very exciting ideas that point to a very high quality upcoming arc, but to imagine they would change the show drastically in any way after 76+ episodes? I'm in the camp of loving Super so far - the journey, characters and escalation in stakes are exactly what I wanted. In my opinion, the only way they could improve going forward is purely on raising production value (and maybe a smidge bit better writing). The Super bicep train has left the station, so lets watch and see how much it can really flex it's muscle. what? okay enough coffee

I don't think whats going on is what would be considered a Reboot. A Reboot implies a whole new series.

The skill of the animators isn't the issue for the animation. It's the time they have to do their work, which isn't very much. You can have the greatest animators alive doing a show but if they have a very small time frame to do the work then they are still going to have to cut corners.

Isn't this like the third topic on a new Dragon Ball/Super series?

I think what you mean is them going in a different direction, bringing in more skilled people to work on it, give them more time to plan things out, etc.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Huh what do you mean good animators? We have good animators. The problem is they don't have any time.

People have tried to say this every arc since the BOG arc, it's getting tiring.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

TBH There is no chance they'll REBOOT Super... But if they will ever do that here are my tips for them:

1) God of Destruction Beerus Saga/BoG (keep the same number of episodes): Have the manga scene where Champa & Vados make their debut (AS SILHOUETTES) while Goku fights Beerus and kill Guarana & his crew who just discover something they're trying to report of back to Sorbet (a big dark orange sphere is shown = SUPER DRAGON BALL), camera rolls to Planet Frieza No. 17 where Sorbet, Shisami and two bouncers receive a super-urgent message from a rushed/sweaty Tagoma: Guarana - their Army's 2nd strongest (after Sorbet himself, IMO) - was killed by a "mysterious force" while his spaceship was transmitting something towards the HQ. Sorbet goes pale as the camera pans over back through the window up to the sky there, then up to space and returns in a super smooth forward BACK into the Battle of Gods.

2) Resurrection 'F' Saga (extend by 2-3 more episodes WITH GOOD WRITING): Fix this Arc to contain Yamcha & Chiaotzu as well - that's FAN SERVICE (8 fighters can deal 125 soldiers each; Android 18 has a family to protect and so does 17, maybe a comeback of 16 is possible, as Shenron can recreate an entire planet including the technological means Bulma and her dad used to fix him, if he joins then I'll have no problems with a comeback of Yajirobe as well for good times' sake). Have an episode of Frieza begins to train ALONGSIDE Tagoma in that hell-looking planet where gravity goes by a +30 rate each day for 4 months before "restarting" to x10 from Earth's gravity, at the same time/episode Sorbet goes to recruit the baddest mercenaries available in the universe, the Galactic Patrol is informed of Sorbet's drafting some of their most wanted, so they turn their "ears" back to the Frieza Force and learn of the 1000 soldiers attack on Earth ploy, the next episode addition will be the completion of Frieza's training, where he learns that his inner strength can now provide him a new transformation, the mercs finish their preparations under Shisami (he seems like a mentor of torturing methods guy), Jaco set a course to Earth - Toei, don't omit Toriyama's Volume 'F' note about Fireza's Mercenaries and have an half of an episode where the Z-Fighters fight them (1 shown in the movie + 27 in the manga = 28 in number) before Shisami enters the ring, then have the same scenarios INCLUDING GINYU till the end. If they could canonize Tiencha/Yamhan that would be AWESOME!
Edit: Have Piccolo defeat Shisami in a close fight but get him worked out by Tagoma who's Gohan's plaything.

3) God of Destruction Champa Saga: KEEP THE SAME, good basis for the rest of the series. Maybe have Majin Buu more useful, that's it.

4) Potaufeu Saga: Keep it, I've enjoyed this "filler". I know most fans despise this arc but it's a good examination of what's the gap between Majin Buu era characters (SSJ 3 Gotenks) to a character who trained under Whis (base form Copy-Vegeta).

5) Future Trunks Arc- Keep the same, but have a Tien filler episode after Goku & Krillin's 2 episodes, thus delaying the next arc by one episode but SO WHAT? We saw what Roshi, Gohan, Krillin, 18 and Goku went through before the next arc so what about Tien & Chiaotzu for once? Maybe a love episode where Launch who broke from jail for the 100th time decides to propose to Tien who is too amazed/scared to reply. Also give the Yamcha baseball episode (70) a proper ending, it's never implied if he died from his injuries while showing he has the balls to win a baseball game while the universe collapses.

6) Universal Survival Arc - remove Master Roshi from the group, he's worthless and had his time to shine (& barely keep up) with 2nd class Frieza goons in RoF, instead of him I'd cast either a new character or Gotenks (in case fused characters aren't allowed, I'd say revive & bring Pikkon who is a fans' favorite and appeared in Kai that tries to follow Toriyama's canon AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE).

If a reboot were to happen, stick with Toriyama's old style, and scrap all the digital crap. Add grain, blood and keep Goku IC.

So make the entire show look like it was made circa 1996. Got it.

Reboot a show that's less than 2 years old? I don't see any reason at all for that.
Do you have any info about international non-English broadcasts about the Dragon Ball anime or manga translations/editions? Please message me. Researching for a future book with Dragon Ball scholar Derek Padula

Super is literally just starting to expand it's brand overseas and it seems to be doing incredibly well. It'd be foolish to do anything to Super except keeping it going.
Also I don't understand your points TC. A new opening and two months of "filler" don't indicate anything at all. And Dragon Room has been open for over half a year now so I don't see what that has to do with anything or show any indication of a "reboot".

I'm pretty sure he's talking about a metaphorical reboot guys.
