The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

He must feel awful. Being a God and no one respects him. Just sad.
And Zamasu thought he had it bad. Fuckin' edgy Kaios thinking about "Justice" and shit just because they got strong by chance.

Ah, this memorable villain. How did i forget about him ? Anyway Piccolo stomps. Gohan didn't want to show violence in front of Pan if i recall correctly and still pulled a win. Speaking of it this mini-arc sucked. It almost ties with the Commeson and Garlic Jr. for the worst (mini)arc ever.

And Chi chi being 130 makes no sense because she should be nowhere near Roshi, and Tao being 210 makes no sense because 1. that would make him almost King Piccolo level and 2. that means he is stronger than BOZ Krillin, which obviously isn't the case since he was basically one shot by 23rd Tien. I would still put mecha Tao below Roshi. Probalby at around 130. Chi Chi should still be at around 10-30 tbh.
I don't think Tao should be weaker than Roshi. Remember that it was said that Tao came to defeat Tien at the 23rd Budokai. Obviously Tsuru was aware of Tien's strenght at the 22nd Budokai. So Mecha Tao should be stronger than Tien's 22nd Budokai counterpart. I would think Mecha Tao would be somewhere around Drum. But weaker than 23rd Budokai Yamcha and Krillin obviously.
I agree with you that the 210 number is wrong, and I also find it nonsensical. I'd put Mecha Tao around 160-170.

As for Chi Chi. I don't think that 130 reading is that bad. It is a bit high, but I don't doubt that Chi Chi could still be around 110. She was able to impress Roshi, calling her a good martial artist. She was also trained by Ox Satan, who was trained by Roshi. Obviously during a lot of years she would have increased in strenght very much if she was having a similar training to that of Roshi. I'd put her probably around 22nd Budokai Yamcha and Krillin.

A single piece out of thousands of pieces won't complete a puzzle. Overall, Piccolo was capable of fighting all three, with murderous intent, soldiers at once. He proved himself reliable through that task & the entire match was interrupted by Coola out of necessity. Ultimately, the trio had a small chance of victory against him from the beginning.

What's inherently nonsensical? Turtle Hermit was not surpassed by Chi-Chi in the original story. Piccolo remains a threat to the enhanced Tao Pai Pai. There are multiple factors to a fight & its fighters than the raw numbers alone. The digit placements are meaningless as long as the primary message reaches through: Turtle Hermit's best is better than Chi-Chi's best; Piccolo's (& Kuririn's, who freely amplifies his reading as Goku & Piccolo before him) best is better than Tao Pai Pai's best.

I think they were just overestimating Tao. I don't even think Tao got much stronger. His knew robot parts just gave him an advantage. And him and crane were just overconfident. It's like with mecha Frieza. Frieza did get stronger, but imo he was still weaker than ssj Namek Goku. And Chi Chi showed nothing really impressive. She was knocked out of the ring with just the air pressure of Goku's punch. Everything she did was something Nam could do. I could see her being close to 100. Her number isn't as bad as Tao's though.

Salza was the learder and bad guys tend to care about strenght. Not to mention if you watch the fight it seems to be pretty clear that Salza is superior. There is literally no argument for Dore being stronger.

As for Chi-chi's number. Being 130 isn't impossible, it's just unlikely. I don't think she got nearly that strong. That would put her above 21st Goku, and I doubt she could throw cars or tank bullets, which is something pre Roshi training Goku did.

Tao's number is much worse. 210 is above BOZ Krillin who was 206. Krillin was pretty clearly supposed to be above Tao even back in the 23rd tournament.

Barry would lose to namek first form Frieza. It was stated Jaco's laser would kill Barry. The entire Galactic Patrol could even handle first form Frieza.

Impossible to say. All we know is he could give base Gohan a bit of trouble, though I think that's more because Barry has really high physical strength.

Piccolo really shouldn't be much weaker than ssj Gohan, though he has been shown to be inferior throughout Super, but I'm still pretty sure Toei just forgot how strong Piccolo was in the RoF arc. He was put down by the same attack that also put down but didn't kill skinny Roshi, lol.

Then Barry Kahn would crush Piccolo with a single strike

Nah. Piccolo was already shown to be at least equal with base Gohan in Super (which still doesn't make sense, he should be leagues above him). Piccolo can just win with his special beam canon. He shouldn't' even need that. It was stated Jaco could kill Barry Kahn.

The difference with Mecha Frieza is that Mecha Frieza obviously would be confident since he didn't know SSJ Goku too well. However, the Crane Hermit and Tao knew very well Tien's moviments, strenght, and the limits he would get since they were their teachers. The Crane Hermit would think that Tien would have got stronger, and would need Cyborg Tao to defeat him. Also, don't forget that Chiaotzu, who was defeated by Cyborg Tao, was also on the tournament, and I highly doubt that Chiaotzu wouldn't at least surpass Roshi at the 23rd Budokai.

Who says Chi Chi wouldn't do the same things? She was also very fast against a suppressed Goku. I really wouldn't believe Chi Chi is below 21st Goku to be able to do that. She also impressed Roshi a lot.
