I don't think FUNimation's dub has ever made the distinction, but in the original, that's the alias he uses as a public figure after the events of the Boo arc.

I'm actually not sure he's ever called "Majin Boo" as a good guy. (He might be, but I'd have to check.)

It was the opposite way, Piccolo was very worn out and 17 not because Artificial humans have infinite stamina.

Besides Goku and Vegeta, I also see the androids, Krillin and Gohan getting good treatments.

In Krillins case its most likely because of having the same voice as Luffy(OP is Toei flagship show) and lets be glad Toei likes Gohan and might have some plans for him.

Thing when I said Piccolo might be the jabronie of the team is because he has been treated as a very minor character, even mocked in the Trunks saga when he was gonna tell Goku how to use the Mafuba.

With Toriyama being a forgetful mangaka, he mightve forgotten Piccolo was his favorite character

You say he got mocked but the most important thing is that Toei gave him a role which saved Trunks' life while Gohan and Krillin got nothing. Piccolo is a huge character in the Dragonball franchise and is not going to be put to behind Gohan, Krillin, 17 and 18 like so many of you think.

Too many of you are looking too much into a nonsense poster which has Goku and Vegeta in ranger gear.

17 is not Future Trunks so do not expect as much screen time as Future Trunks did.

There is no hype for Gohan, his episodes were about him making a movie. Even in the episode 78 preview card he does not want to fight.

Vegeta, Piccolo, Buu and Tien need no screen time they
would be expected to get results in a tournament setting. I expect these 4 and Goku to be the Big players.

If you look at openings, endings, movies, filler, and actual canon Gohan has always had a bigger role than Piccolo. If someone like him can get sidelined, Piccolo can too. Better put up your guard for this tournament.

Piccolo is a conundrum when you really think about it. He is more popular than everyone bar the saiyans on the team. Android 17 isn't more popular than him, he just hasn't been seen in so look that he is getting hype. Krillin isn't either.
Piccolo is definitely in 5th place for power, unless 17 has been working out. Piccolo also has an ability to gain power better than all the non saiyans on the team (at least from what we have seen). Toriyama probably likes Piccolo more than everyone bar Goku. Piccolo hasn't done the best fight wise, but he does indeed get inclusion in every arc regardless of that. In the anime piccolo always looking out for everyone. He bring Gohan back to life, and dies for him. He tries to save Goku after Hit kills him. He willing to teach Goku the mafuba. Piccolo will always try in a fight. He is a bro who gets treated like a bitch, and that's messed up.

Tien would probably be the same case if he got more screen time. Tien and Piccolo prove that hard work ain't shit.Goku, Vegeta, Tien, and Piccolo are the true warriors. They live for it. They love it, and when they get good fights. They get really good fights. It probably why people have so much trouble believing Tien is weaker than Krillin. Tien lives for the craft of martial arts. He puts in work every day. I like Krillin way more than Tien, but I have to respect Tien's credo.
I'd say Tien probably puts in more work than Piccolo, but at the end of the day Humans ain't shit compared to namekians and namekians ain' shit compared to saiyans, and that get to me a lot because it reminds me of real life. But it's ok in the end because at the end of the day those two don't fight to be the strongest, they fight for themselves, and even if they get shafted, the spirit of the warrior in them will never break. Damn I never knew I liked Piccolo, so much until I wrote this.

Those guys are not Bulma and Trunks, who my post were all about. I know he does not have a track record of consistency, that's why I drew the distinction "since BoG." Btw his latest design for #18 has her with grey hair like BoG, so in the new era of DB those are the colors he chose for them.

I don't get why both gohan and piccolo fans bickering with each other considering both characters are treated like shit in super if anything you should hope both have a good moment in the arc.

Seriously, I don't get the Gohan and Piccolo fan bickering. As someone who loves both characters and hates how both have been turned into practically tertiary characters in Super, I just don't understand why it has to be one or the other. Why can't we just hold out hope that BOTH will do something cool at some point?

There is no real bickering. I think everyone will have good moments but we are basically arguing who will get more. I say a reason for Piccolo is that he is unique while Gohan has Goku and Vegeta in front of him if we were to sort them in to groups like this:

Goku, Vegeta and Gohan
Piccolo
Android 17 and 18
Krillin, Tien, Roshi
Buu

This is a tournament which has 10 participants and not against some random villain so we have to look at it slightly different to other arcs.

The only "difference" is just Fat Buu expelled the evil from him. He's the same character.

Not really, he is as different as super buu is from fat buu, super buu is also technically him and his evil counterpart..

Anyways, that's what I was saying, buu without evil expelled is fat buu, with evil expelled is Mr buu

What if its 17? It would be a nice way to bring him back, Goku even remembered about the Kintoun/Flying nimbus.

If the battle vs U9 is a warmup and we will get multiple 1 vs 1 matchups then my predictions is:

17: Wins, no way u bring back a character and job him out, killing his momentum.
Gohan: Jobs, force him to train and gains SSJ Ikari.
Goku: Win if he get sto face that wolf guy from the PV.

These past episodes mean nothing, if they were important the official start of the arc would have been then and not episode 77.

If Goku is specifically looking for 2 fighters then the favourite for the second slot is Piccolo.

I still think that it could be mean that Goku is looking fod the final fighters and then the last one is probably 17.

I don't expect much dissapointment. If everyone is expecting every character apart from Goku and Vegeta to be a dissapointment then I assume everyone is going to expect dissapointment for every future arc that Toriyama creates for Super.

All questions should have answers in the up coming weeks. Whatever happens, happens. For all we know Buu and Roshi will mvp the tourny because out of all the characters they have the weakest fanbase, and tori wants to troll.
