This isn't really about power levels as Goku tanked bullets as a kid before he even learned ki, this is just straight up forgetting things

Why does this anime keep doing this? Just reinforcing my opinion that the manga is better?

Hopefully the show explains it though I doubt they will.

And after that time in the first chapter when being shot in the manga it left bullet holes in him that were leaking blood.

The description doesn't even say his slight injury is from a bullet, maybe he just breaks his finger nail when flicking that dude away.

People are also using gags of goku getting shot as a reason why he shouldn't be injured. So why am I not allowed to use a gag to defend my point but everyone else is allowed to use it to call this episode garbage before it even airs?

I am going to wait and see, I jumped to conclusions once, i refuse to do it again. summaries have mislead us before with the whole vegito nonsense so lets see what happens.

Bullets hurt him (infact it knocked him of his feet), super gun knocks him out, stones thrown or blown at him can hurt and/or cut him, glass can cut him and lasers can pierce his flesh. Extreme heat can burn him and he can be frozen solid. Without air he will suffocate and die.

It has been shown time an again that when Goku for all his power can be hurt by mundane things if he dose not properly focus his power and I will never understand why people put Goku up on this invulnerable pedestal and flip their shit the moment they are reminded that their hero is only flesh and blood.

Well, to be fair, this complaint isn't unfounded. The ability to resist bullets has been something established since chapter 1. This isn't something like "HOW MANY PLANET BUSTS CAN GOKU BUST WHILE BUSTING PLANETS?" conversation, this is a basic ability of a character who is millions of times stronger than he was back when he first displayed it.
