Oh uh, you do, in fact during that interview Akira Toriama actually framed it as if Freeza inherited his mutation, and in fact if you believe the forms to be suppression's than you must believe that they are a sexual reproducing race. Otherwise it falls down

...well, there's certainly not any evidence pointing to them needing a mate(s? oh god) to reproduce, but there's nothing specifically stating they're akin to the Namekians in their methods, either.

What we do know is that every Frost Demon/Freeza Race/Acrosian we've met thus far has been referred to with a "he" pronoun, just like Namekians... and in every game you're able to select their race as a custom character build, there are no gender options to select. Just like Namekians. Dragon Ball Online, from my understanding, was pretty close to Toriyama's cuff, so I doubt there's error in that call - but who knows. New material could upend everything for all we know.

This race being shrouded in mystery I can consider some"thing that grinds my gears," only in that I just really, really wanna know. Especially if we're able to play as the "Freeza Race" in video games. Give us an origin, a planet, an explanation for their transformations, family mechanics - something. Even if they're just mutant weirdo babies that don't originate from anywhere specific, I'd be fine with that. So much ambiguity for Dragon Ball's (arguably) biggest villain. I completely understand there are fans that are fine with the ambiguity, making him that much more intriguing. It's just a personal itch I wanna scratch.

Japanese doesn't work exactly like English. What is said in there (in Japanese) can be either singular or plural (parent or parents). The translators simply had to make a choice when translating to English.

An understandable misconception, given that this plural "parents" quote was only present in both the english adaptation of the manga and anime. The original script makes no effort to clarify if the word used, oya, refers to one or many parents.
This interview with Toriyama (link at the bottom, 8th question down) gives a vague answer on the subject, but to quote Julian's note at the bottom:

It is unclear whether Toriyama means Freeza was born from only one parent, or emphasizing that only Cold carried these traits.

At the end of the day, the idea that Freeza has more than one parent is an adaptation choice that could have gone either way.

-Future Trunks not telling the Z-Fighters what the Androids look like or that their invisible to Ki Sense
-Everyone not going along with Bulma's idea about finding Gero's lair and taking him and his creations out before they are released
-Android 17 refusing to heed Android 16's warning to not fight Cell
-Android 18 just standing around and watching instead of running
-Krillin putting his feelings above the mission
-Vegeta letting Cell reach perfection
-Toriyama not letting Future Trunks and Vegeta become Full Power SSJ after training in the Time Chamber a second time, despite them knowing about it

What he used against Raditz clearly isn't a damn shotgun. I thought Raditz flicking a singular cyllindrical-cone shaped bullet back at him would be enough of a clue.
