The filter seems to be something than can be done quickly. After they do more tests we can see an improvement.
I'm curious how the BD release will look, because DB Buu kai arc had the green tint problem and that was removed from the BD episodes.
Anyway this seems to be an idea of the new directors. So when they leave after this arc and we get a new director the colors may look "normal" again.
Just wait 20/25 episodes.

You can also play with MPC settings every time you want to watch/rewatch this arc.

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Nope, the green tint is still there on all Blu-ray releases - both Japanese and international versions.FortuneSSJ wrote:I'm curious how the BD release will look, because DB Buu kai arc had the green tint problem and that was removed from the BD episodes.
The TV caps were a little greener than the masters, but that was capture-related rather than any real difference. Some piracy groups removed the tint which perpetuated that misconception.

The new filter they have actually hurts my eyes a little. Everything is way too bright. When they went to the Kaioshin Realm, it got even worse, and it felt like I was watching the Orange Bricks. If this is the new look of the show from now on, then color me disappointed. I hope they tone it down for future episodes.

I'd really want to know Ichino Maria, Kawasaki Rena and Yamada Masashi's style, those are names I remember that have been in recent episodes and I'd like to know what and how they draw.

Would anyone happen to have any shots of SSGSS Goku vs Rival in the new opening? Or at least the new screen capture? (any or all would be greatly appreciated

The filter really reminds me of those "DBS with 90's DBZ colors" youtube videos. And i hate them, i don't care how much the fandom loves it, i just can't get used to it.MajinMan wrote:The new filter they have actually hurts my eyes a little. Everything is way too bright. It looks really good at some shots, but most of the time it looks really cheap, especially when they went to the Kaioshin Realm, as you say.

The filter is pretty much non existent in the Earth scenes, it only really gets over bearing on the "heavenly" planets.

It looks like an improvement to me, it will probably get better as time goes on. Either way, the filter is to help keep Super looking consistent so I'm all for it.

Talking about this subject did we had any clarification why Super didn't stick with the iconic sound effects of the series?kinisking wrote:Might not be best place to ask but I heard that the sound effects in today's episode were the same as the ones in DBZ, is that true? I've never really noticed much difference but if true that's good for people who care.

The sound director went to one piece iirc.Noah wrote:Talking about this subject did we had any clarification why Super didn't stick with the iconic sound effects of the series?kinisking wrote:Might not be best place to ask but I heard that the sound effects in today's episode were the same as the ones in DBZ, is that true? I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 76
Didn't he work on both? I remember One Piece having the same Arai Hidenori sound effects used in DBZkinisking wrote:The sound director went to one piece iirc.

You know, now that i'm watching "Assasination Classroom" and re watched some videos of "One Punch Man", i noticed that this kind of filter can be found in those anime series as well. I guess it's pretty common in this industry.

And from what I have seen from the vast majority of the fandom from the comment section of the episodes from 77 and 76 they love it. So thats a good sign in my book.SaiyanGod117 wrote:It looks like an improvement to me, it will probably get better as time goes on. Thanks for the help. Really interested to know more about this guy.ArchedThunder wrote:Okay so Karagi translated this tweet for me.

"And Nanba Ryou-san, who is moving forward on production, has been tirelessly working in progressing on both the opening and ending in addition to other main volumes and promos. Since Nanba, who has been giving content - and of course schedule-related consultation, is really great at progression, we have decided to soon change his occupation to assistant. We're doing our best together... (dark smile)"
I have no idea who Nanba Ryou is or what exactly she is talking about, but the "schedule-related consultation" and "Is really great at progression" is intriguing to me.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 76
The 17 scene is almost definitely Takahashi. I can't think of any other animator that uses smears like the ones we saw in that scene.gaberparadiso wrote:Maybe 17 attacking was made by Takahashi: that energy blast looked similar to Gohan's in RoF movie.
That list has some key animators, whose style is unclear. For example, Shuntaro Mura worked on episode 66, maybe he did the scene with Goku punching randomly.

Yep agreed. I also think that's Takahashi. The effects in particular make me think that's him.
