I dont understand why some feel Piccolo might have a rematch vs Frost.

I think the reason they brought back Frost is for him to turn to the good side(As if what wouldve happened if Frieza ever turned good), Toei is going to develop the Frost/Cabba relationship(hopefully we get a flashback too), them and Fem Broly might have a subplot which could turn very interesting.

At most I expect Piccolo to win a match then job, but as for now I feel Piccolo will be the jabronie of U7 with Yamcha being retired as a fighter. TBH Piccolo turned into a joke when Cell trashed him.

Piccolo winning a match would be different since he has done nothing but job through Super. The novelty of watching Piccolo eat the ground has worn off. Although, part of me wants him to job just to see the forum explode again. The aftermath of the Piccolo vs. Frost fight was great.

Have a heart man, I dont like Piccolo that much but the character at least deserves better than what he's got throughout super.

I think some people don't realise how big a character Piccolo is compared to a lot of the other members of team Universe 7.

Also, once again we don't know if 1 loss means you exit the whole tournament or not since this is a universe vs universe tournament. So wait until we know the format.

I see no enjoyment of piccolo jobbing cause at this point he ain't shit to guys goku,vegeta,gohan etc, plus it not even an accomplishment to beat him as before.

Which is why I listed Piccolo last. It's like Vegeta and Gohan's fans battle for number one annoyance with Piccolo fans being a distance, but vocal third.

I will say that Vegeta's fans tend to be the biggest babies. Even with all the shine Vegeta managed to get to the point of being a main character with Goku, they still managed to whine about Toriyama not kissing Vegeta's ass enough because, 'they wont' let him kill the main bad guy!'. At least Gohan's fans have a real reason to be upset, even if they take it too far.

Most Goku fans don't complained, except for those who are so sensitive about Goku's 'dumb' moments that any signs of Goku's naivety sends them flying over the edge and giving ten pages rants about Super 'ruined' Goku. And they may complained that Vegeta gets more development, which is a fair assessment, although most of Vegeta's development is just the seeds of what have already been planted in Z and we're just seeing the end result. Also, there are far more fans against Goku, like people wanting him to die and stay dead when he fought Hit just so their favorite character get to do something.

Piccolo fans were mad when Bulma made him clean the yard with Krillin, Goku blew him off when he offered to teach him the Evil Containment Wave, and all the low end power jokes. And he jobbed and died in Resurrection 'F' Saga.

I wouldn't say there are far more fans against Goku (overall), but those that are, are quite vocal. Though then again, it does partly go back to people wanting Goku taken out of commission so that their favorite character does something, but a lot of the time he was taken out of the way early, other characters rarely accomplished much of anything. Goku can be around with other characters still getting some love. Regardless of how people felt about it, Trunks was right there in the previous saga with Goku being a prominent character throughout.

As for the whole Piccolo thing, I don't want to see any character job, but I know there's a good chance of it happening to any of them. Honestly, the novelty of any of the Z Fighters losing often has worn off. Every single one of them lose quite often. Heck at this point, it would be more of surprise if Goku saved the day than if he didn't. But back on Piccolo, the guy is a big character, but he hasn't been getting good treatment in Super so far. I'm hoping this tournament fixes this problem for not just him, but everyone. I'm hoping that because this new OP is made with this new saga, that this saga will be fairly lengthy, giving nice moments to everyone from U7, as well as the Gods and other participants.

I think Vegeta is doing really well. He's gotten to this mature responsible adult state and it's impressive to watch, and this is coming from someone who finds VegeBul boring.

Gokû meanwhile is just full of emotional troubles stemming from his battle lust and kinda sorta falling apart and/or interfering where he shouldn't be. He's that party guest that won't leave and when he does he accidentally knocks over your mom's priceless antique vase on the way out.

To add to this, everytime Piccolo lost in Z it was a big deal because he was always the strongest guy at that given time: in the Saiyan arc, he was stronger than all the Earthlings, so seeing Nappa make short work of him built the the Saiyans up; in the Namek arc, after fusing with Nail he was stronger than what even Goku was prior to his injuries, so seeing Freeza trash him in his pre-final form showed the desperate struggle they were in; in the Android arc, after fusing with Kami he was stronger than any good guy and no one knew what the ROSAT would do, so seeing him get defeated by Cell easily in his Imperfect form only built up his Perfect form and solidified him as the main villain, since he was also stronger than the Androids.

In Super him losing wasn't a big deal. The big deal was showing that he can put up a decent fight and almost pull a win against a guy no one gave him a chance. He showed that he was reliable even if weaker than his other teammates. Hell, he was in control of the whole match and if Frost hadn't cheated he wouldn't even be as burnt out at the end, since he not only got poisoned but also had a hole blown trough him which he had to regenerate. That's a big chuck of Ki he lost right there.
Sure, in the manga he just outright jobs and Frost only poisons him because reasons, but the fact that Frost relies on cheating to beat him in both versions shows that Toriyama at least thought of him as a decent capable warrior. I wouldn't write him off just yet.

Also, I wouldn't write Buu off either. If the retcon theory is correct and Toriyama is writing the non-God forms at a Buu-BoG level, outside of Hit, no one in Universe 6 is even close to the guy, so that might be the reason he was taken out of the tournament without fighting at all.

Agreed. Honestly, this goes for anyone. If they're planning to use any of U7 that isn't Goku/Vegeta as hype material, they're going to need them actually look damn good first before that happens.

Yeah and even more if we know that Vegeta fucked up BIG times in the past... But we clearly can see his character progression and last episode was just awesome for him saying no for the sake of Bulma... So he or someone else should get through to Goku and say there is more important thinks than risking all just for the fight.

Of course they all now Goku doesn't have done this with bad thoughts in his mind but still... And maybe this would be the start of Goku's character progression
