If all the universes end up having a similar preliminary matches then it would be a great way to cut down on fighters. 10 fighters from every universe seemed like WAY too many characters to come up with.

Goku vs Hit should happen in the semifinals, resembling a bit when Goku faced Tenshinhan in the 23rd Budokai and u are forgetting U6 are the deuteragonists.

I doubt Goku and Hit would have a rematch at all, its a typical shonen troupe, Goku V Hit already happened, they're gonna have Hit job against someone which will show how powerful the new guy is (isnt this the norm? haha)

It seems like dragon ball super is going to start airing this month in Spain, just saying this in case any spaniard fan doesn't know. I just hope that there's no censorship like in France (and to survive the RoF arc).

Yeah, and manga begins publishing next month too. I don't know about the censorship though. It's not that usual in our country, but the channel that will air Super it's pretty much for kids and they don't usually broadcast anime. The only ones I can think of are Yokai Watch and Doraemon.

Now that I think of it, in that channel they censored several Adventure Time chapters.

Which is the reason of why i'm worried, they freaking censored some dialogue in one episode just because the characters talked about a kiss with tongue included. If something like that is censored, it wouldn't surprised dbs could suffer the same fate (even being kid's friendly)

Having a preliminary match with having the consequence makes sense, it shows us the audience and the characters in the show that yes these consequences are real and lets us know what we are in for. The Trunks arc started out with Black killing Future Bulma, right off bat told us what we were getting into.

My point is that they decided to have Gohan and Buu fight before anybody not named Goku because we expected to see them on the roster of the U7 team back in the Champa Arc. Then when Gohan said he couldn't come and Buu still came along and they made up a dumb excuse to exclude him from the tournament, people were annoyed and upset so I think its just Toriyama getting them some redemption.

Goku is more than likely going to fight in this preliminary anyway. I doubt Toriyama even knows people were quote upset, it is a coincidence more than anything.

Vegeta probably still has to be with Bulma because she likely hasn't given birth yet. That's the only reason I can think of as to why Vegeta isn't fighting.

Not that I'm complaining, we've seen enough of the Goku & Vegeta tag team, this is a refreshing change.

You can't say that for certain. It might just be case of them being the strongest which is understandable in universe .

Yeah, it makes total sense from a storytelling point of view. Buu was the first name they came up with last time, Goku is just being coherent - and there's no written test now. With Vegeta unavailable, Gohan would be the next option, especially since Goku sparred with him recently.

Really excited to see mah boi Buu back in action. The preview suggests that he will win against all odds, but I don't want to get my hopes up, I've been hurted before.

But seriously, I think this previous fight is for the U7 to show off. The three will win.

If anything I think they should win, I feel like the GoD's and the other competitors would look down on them, since 8 of em looks basically humans, 1 is a fat blob and the other is... well I guess Piccolo's kinda threatening, but besides him all of em looks plain as shit. Compared to the other participants, U7 team looks the most non threatening, they even have an old man in the team, other universe's has wolves,big buffed giant ass alien guy, Beerus race, giant Botamo bearded look a like etc. It should give them a fair warning that U7 aint a pushover.

I think you're assuming the teletubbie is on U6 but wasn't Basil in the same shot as the teletubbie, Hit, and Magetta? I'd hold off on if they're from U6, and if U7 will fight them.
