Will it be crap? yeah, Hilarious cd? i won't be able to take it seriously.
There's also metal music with proper singing. o: And even with shouty/grunty metal you need a vocabulary beyond five words. ;D

Didn't Tiffany Volmer already sing as Bulma in the I'll Give You Romance DB ending??
Way back in 2001, I remember hearing that that was sung by Melodee Lenz, who did the voice of Marron in DBZ, and other minor voices. But most current DBZ websites probably didn't exist in 2001, and DaizEX's updates from back then are gone now. At this point, I'd be surprised if even FUNimation remembers or cares who sung it. But in any case, it really doesn't sound like Volmer anyway.

But it does sound like Lenz, or whoever it actually was if not her, also sung the dubbed versions of Hohoemi no Bakudan (YYH opening) and Homework ga Owaranai (first YYH ending), which was dubbed around the same time DB restarted.

As for Nadolny, the YYH ending she sang was the dubbed version of the second one, Sayonara Bye Bye.

Really?! That was Stephanie Nadolny? That's not what I thought her singing voice would sound like at all, but it is really good. If that really was her, then that means she also performed the English version of the third Detective Conan opening, "Nazo," and the third Detective Conan ending, "Hikari to Kage no Roman," since the same woman sings all three of those songs for FUNi. Cool bit of trivia.

....

Wow, I have contributed nothing to the thread with this post.

As much as I'd like to see, er I guess "hear," something like that, I agree that it goes against FUNi's image of DBZ. I mean, heck, I still like those Pikachu's Jukebox songs to this day and I think it would give fans of the dub a different perspective on all the characters.

I think a big reason for this never to happen, though, is that FUNi's dub doesn't exactly flesh out each character in terms of well... their intended character. Take Goku for example. The Japanese version plays him to be a pure hearted idiot who likes to fight for the sake of fighting, while the dub takes it in a different direction (doing stuff like giving him those completely "not idiot sounding" hero speeches). So doing something like a character song would be a really weird move to take.

Don't think people would think of it as a character song, but I remember in the English Sailor Moon, Rei sang a song called "Oh Starry Night". It was a nice song, but not like as how many thought Rei in theanime wouldn't sing a song like that.

The worst thing about that song is that the chorus is the exact same notes as the beginning of the Canadian national anthem. It used to drive me nuts everytime I heard it. XD

Basically think of when she sings "O starry night" and simply put "O Canada" in there and then you know the first part of our national anthem. XD

Bulma's song would be something that would never be allowed by any television standards anywhere. BTW I have a spellchecker on my new browser that checks my English and it is pissing me off right now because I am noticing my rather frequent misspellings I don't normally notice. Such is life at this god-help-me-now hour.

Yeah... what was up with that release? None of the dance remixes or songs were ever used in the series. And who is the rather attractive girl on the front? Why didn't they insert an actual image of 18? Eh, oh well. I never bought the CD anyway.

That would be extremely amusing to hear ^^ I'd almost be willing to listen to such a release if only to have the chance to laugh at it later on. Key word being almost, of course.

Though I've never ever ever heard any DBZ charaters songs even in Japanese...
