Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.

I'm from the UK and have never heard it pronounced "Zed". Aside from both the Funimation and Ocean dubs using "Zee", something about "Dragonball Zed" just doesn't feel right, like it just doesn't roll off the tongue and sounds sort of silly.

Another UK fan here, and I've always called it, and heard it being call by family and friends, as "Dragon Ball Zee".

Although, funny enough, I remember watching an episode of the TV show The Chase, and the host of the show, Bradley Walsh, in a question that had Dragon Ball Z as one of the optional answers did pronounce it as "Dragon Ball Zed". So it's out there. :)

Its like Saiyan being pronounced as "Sigh-Yan" in English dubs rather than "Say-An". It would make sense, but the latter pronunciation is so iconic and ingrained in popular culture that it's never going to change.

All that said if "Dragon Ball Zed" is your preferred way of saying it go for it, no one's stopping you  .

It sounds kind of awkward saying Zed instead of Zee for me.

France is with you!

EDIT @Kojiro Sasaki : Oh, you had the French Opening in Poland too haha

Seriously, say "Zed" if you want (and if you're not American).
Dragon Ball is not an American show as far as I know. (and Japanese people prononce Z, Zetto/Zed, even in English: https://youtu.be/xYYhAryLnHY?t=4m28s)
And expect "Rock the Dragon" on your old TV Tapes and TV commercials, nobody prononces Dragon Ball Zee, Zed or Zetto on the show. So... who cares?
