I am sure gohan can't access mystic right now, as I said, I expect this to be a complete copy of watagash fight, only the villan is changed.. he goes SS and finishes the job..
Mystic gohan and blue goku would probably be saved for the real deal..

I don't think grand priest is upset for that, we see something has happened to satan, maybe buu goes out of bounds to check on him..

He couldve regained it during the 9 month timeskip but could use it temporarily(like how he could use SSJ temporarily back in FnF).

If Lavenda has a transformation then he might not get 1 shotted(although that decreases the change of Gohan winning too).

We see goku saying gohan will regain his fighting sense back in no time, he has great power and goku knows it all too well..
This shows Gohan wasn't supposed to be training in Toriyama's outline, gohan would have his fighting sense intact if he was fighting with piccolo..

Now when we consider what happened in the manga we see there wasn't supposed to be any gohan present after rof arc..
In rof the best he could do is SS and was also out of shape..

This is me putting two and two together but its obvious to me toriyama just now thought of a way to include gohan because of these stakes, hence the line from Goku..

It also seems good that way, gohan continued with his scholar life after the freeza fight and just now came out if retirement to protect his home once again..
It's totally in line with the character toriyama said in an interview he thought gohan was and not to mention it's more satisfying than this mess of a Gohan they created who jumps around with his motivations all the time..

Gohan training was almost certainly not in his outline for previous arcs.

Gohan is probably doomed. Goku fights Lavenda in the opening and it seems to be during the main tournament so I don't see the point of Gohan beating Lavenda and then having Goku fighting Lavenda and probably beating him as well.

You're mixing up lavenda and Bergomo.

The reason I am taking this comment seriously because it was way too smart and considerate for super goku, this line very well could be in the outline like the most potential line..

Gotta give Toei credit here, they aren't giving away anything but are teasing just the right amount to entice us. I would really love to see how Gohan overcomes the poison attack and use battle smarts to overcome Lavenda.

What still creeps me out is Grand Priest smirking, a lil midget like that smirking for no reason? I think not.

I know I'm not the only fan to speculate whether the Grand Priest has some hidden agenda, but I hope that smirk doesn't mean in the near future he'll do something backhanded.

He's on the key visual, seems odd he's there since he's just a Zen-Oh lap dog. Definitely something more will happen with him.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks this, but I really believe the Grand Priest stands above even Zen-Oh. And he just plays along for some reason we won't know until later.

Unique clothing is fun, but this is accurate. However, even though I'm a fan of mostly everyone's new outfits (boy I wish Goku/Vegeta had their RoF ones) I really feel Gohan's tracksuit is bad. With a capital B. Maybe it's because that was due to his out of shape, no muscle self?
