Come on, Boo Kai is basically a toned-down version of Funimation's Blu-rays with an ugly green tint. Not to mention that the jp cast performed... disappointingly, to say the least.
The only contention I've ever made is that in spite of the dub, Boo Kai still isn't good enough to justify my approval. Or rather, although I wish I could enjoy the dub more, my misgivings towards the show it's companion to are such that it's not worth it for me. There's really nothing to discuss unless you want to argue over preferences, or present something that will convince me otherwise.
Anyway...

I guess I'm the only person on Earth who likes the artist that draws these covers.
I know the quality's comparable to FUNimation's Blu-Rays in some areas. I don't get why they didn't have the company that did the first 4 arcs continue, considering they were working on the cheap then too with recutting the footage rather than reanimate it entirely, considering I loved what they did to recut the footage & remaster it. However, I'm more inclined to get these than FUNimation's sets for the following reasons:
1. Not as much filler, since they cut it down by a little over 20 episodes from the original.
2. The English dub here is much better, I'd say actually great, than the original dub & I can actually stand it without cringing at bad dialogue or poor voice acting in spots. "Oh my gosh" & the like for the lines & a rather poor delivery on Sean's part during some of the more serious parts. I'll let this clip speak on that.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4L-L8HoMvI He's far from a bad/the worst actor in the Buu saga of Z's dub, but he had a ways to go before he got to the level he's at now.
As for the Japanese cast, I'll leave that up to the fans of the sub, as while I've seen clips, I don't go straight to the sub unless I have to when the dub's available & perfectly watchable. Although, I do find sub fans who try to judge the delivery in another language they can't understand without subtitles interesting.
3. The arc's remastering is STILL better than anything FUNi's put out for Z, even as-is. There's no eye-bleeding colors, there's no watercolors, & I will actually stand to watch it. Besides, there's still a fan edit of both Z & Kai to remove all of the filler possible, where he's going to edit Kai's English voice track to both Z's recut footage & Kai's & I can't wait. Even WITH the green tint, most of which my TV hasn't shown as I've been watching the Toonami broadcasts (although that could change when I watch it through the Blu-Rays on my Xbox One) & I don't necessarily mind the cropping, even though Toei SHOULD'VE made 4:3 masters. We'll eventually have the recut for that though. Everything's fine, though it could be better.
4. The arc was edited, basically, for overseas broadcasts because Kai as a whole did better over here. It only aired in Japan because they needed something to fill in Toriko's timeslot after its unexpected cancellation. Toei are appealing to the audience who specifically love Kai for the various reasons we do with it. Took forever to get announced, but it's finally here.
These releases aren't perfect, but at least I can buy & watch them without regretting the purchase. I absolutely REFUSE to buy the season set Z Blu-Rays because they're bad, oh my god are they bad.
I don't expect everyone to go straight to the dub, I just thought people can at least respect the translations a good percentage of the time & the fact that the cast does great with their characters.
