Whenever they release character designs like this they always exclude a lot of the emotion and reaction faces.
His GT hair was basically just his end of Z hair anyways.

I know, but it was still something I associate with GT which I think you can correctly assume I was not a big fan of. Now that I look at it though it seems different enough. I initially thought it was just a much shorter version but his GT/EoZ hair was a much different shape than this. I'm curious about Yamamuro's designs for SSJ and SSJ2 Gohan though.

Not really. The faces tend to be grouped by family. Gohan and Goku have similar faces, but they're wildly different compared to Vegeta's.
Not really, Gohan and Goku look the same as Vegeta when serious. Goku less so because of the opening in the eyes, but ultimate Gohan always had a Vegeta type face . As a super Saiyan, they all have the same face for sure.

I'm not just being nitpicky because it's Yamamuro. Some of the heads on that sheet are fine, but a few of them are very off.

Nope. Faces are too soft and youthful, which is exactly the point I'm making. The differences exist, and they exist for a reason. Subtle as they may be to you, they're there.

Those still look like how Super's Vegeta is drawn a lot of the time though. Although I admit the character designs do deviate slightly. I still see the new designs as looking more like Gohan than Vegeta. Especially when it's ultimate Gohan, which is supposed to look harder.

Gohan looks pretty weird. He looks like Vegeta in those pictures. Z already had some symptoms of sameface but now this is pretty obvious.
I wish his hair was a little more wild on the top like in the Boo arc, instead of going straight up like now. That would make him a lot more distinct...

I thought I was the only one who noticed this. In the beginning of the Boo arc, his hair was longer and more pronounced on top instead of looking more similar to a buzz cut.

They all have the same foundation, but with slight tweaks.
Gohan, Goku, Vegeta, Trunks etc all look exactly the same. The only real difference is the eyes.
Even that difference is gone when they transform.
