Actually many members of this thread were rooting/still want him to play goku! Cure Dragon 255 said he will show this thread to Erik so that he can see how much he is loved that's all i guess..

For Goku, it improves or I get used to? More natural, more energetic, less stuck.
Gohan & Videl are definitely excellent. Same with Piccolo, a very charismatic voice!
Vegeta & Hercule are good too. I always hope for a more original acting for Vegeta... the actor seems good, less in the grunts in this episode...
ShenLong is meh... he's do the job.

Just... BangZoom's Chichi is awful. She's a mixture of a breathless bad acting, a middle-class/bourgois woman (ironic for Chichi) and a weird accent(?).

Except this, the episode is very good overall.

About piccolo I got to agree on your point piccolo sounds really calm and charismatic, I really prefer ray chase take on him... I have no idea why people say he is copying sabat or stuff like that, except the fact that he is using deep tone he sounds nothing really nothing like sabat's piccolo!!!
michelle ruff the one who plays chichi sounds breathless in most of her roles lol, i think its her trademark style.. And chichi always had a country side accent so i guess she is trying to use similar style on her take.. don't know for sure!!

Interesting how Whis pronounced Namek at the start of episode 9, seems reminiscent of how it was pronounced in a certain unreleased Kai dub. Beerus seemed to have pronounced it the regular way though so perhaps it was just a mistake or misdirection.

Shenron (or Shenlong in this dub) sounds very plain, not at all menacing like the voices given to him in Funimation or Ocean dubs. I can't really tell who the actor is with the lowered pitch. Edit: Appears to be Patrick Seitz

Roshi sounds pretty good here as does Piccolo. Piccolo did seem to get drowned out at certain points though, especially when the music was playing. Either it's a mixing problem or his delivery just isn't loud and energetic as it should be.

I'm liking how Lex lang sounds in the God form so far. The voice feels more fitting along with that slimmer design.

Any idea who is the voice actress for kid trunks in this dub? It sure sounds like Gon and Yuuki???

I have been wondering this myself and it's bugging me. I know there was some dub recently Erica also got mistaken for a character in, so it might be whoever she got mistaken for in that. Alternatively it could be a really secret hush hush thing and Erica actually is Trunks, but is possibly under some kind of an NDA.

Trunks' actress is called Haley Lewis. Maybe she is a newcomer.

It has to be an NDA thing, that voice sounds so close to her it either it is her (which considering by just looking at her roles I spotted 2 major dubs that were done at Bang Zoom, seems most likely), or they did a really good job of casting for soundalike. This person is or is meant to sound like Mendez, I guarantee. Also, Haley Lewis sounds like a fake name.

Well it is credited as Haley Lewis but when I search it Erica Mendez popped up. While I understand NDAs if it really was her I lost a little respect for her as she made me feel like an idiot. I mean the worse thing about it was it was after a panel and I was talking to her one on one. So if she is Kid Trunks all she would of had to say was thanks. Glad I didn't buy a Kid Trunks statue for her to sign like I thought about that woul have been awkward. Whoever is doing Kid Trunks is doing a great job.

If she really had to admit the fact that she was playing trunks, she would have given her real name from the get go and wouldn't have given alias i guess!!!

And if it is NDA it is by her own hands not Bang Zoom. Why would you not want to be credited in a Dragonball property regardless of the studio who dubs it? The other Bang Zoom cast was ecstatic to announce their involvement.
