I think it's been implied the ENTIRE Dragon Ball series that Gohan is special. It just so happens that he doesn't really have a desire to use that gift. So if the writers decide that they're going to throw him back in there, you're going to get over it and watch the show anyways.

There are plenty of shows out there where a strong and talented fighter doesn't have the desire to fight, so why is he out of place for this???

Does not deserve it, simple as that.

Has Gohan even had a fight where he is not angry or just overpowers the opponent. How is that good for an for a show? His 'special' power is just an easy way out for Toriyama or Toei.

If Toriyama makes Gohan have a big role while the non-saiyans don't I will not get over it and will just play the video games where I can actually have the others fight.

Hmm... Since this tournament involves all of the universes, I wonder if the audiences will be able to view it on Kami Tube back on their respective universes or planets. If so then it's quite obvious where Dr. Myuu got his idea to create "Hakaishin no Lood". I could be thinking too deep into it but if that is by any chance a little GT foreshadowing, that would be pretty damn dope.

Well some fans are thinking Goku might unlock SSJ4 because of his smile in the OP, which they imply look similar when he smiles in SSJ4 form.

He was irrelevant..? Straight up false. He was constantly surprising everyone with his strength on Namek. He probably got some of the best hits on Frieza passing up a beaten up Piccolo (who couldn't even mess with Freeza's third form) Not to mention he knocked out Raditz pretty hard. The only times Gohan was irrelevant was the beginning of android saga and Trunks saga (and saiyan saga). Everything else he has played a big role. I'm not even bringing up Super. I'm talking about Z, before his character got shafted.

He wasn't even irrelevant. Gohan, Krillin, and Vegeta were the main 3 until Goku arrived. Heck, he was the one who lead to Dende being saved, which even now has had a lasting impact.

They're not really hyping him up to be stronger than Goku though, at least it didn't appear like that to me. It just seems more like they're hyping him up to be stronger than he's ever been before. As for your question, it's possible, in-universe, Goku is a pretty handsome guy.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed. Gohan has been foreshadowed many times throughout the series. He wasn't just something they pulled out their butts.

Yeah, I don't think they're hyping him up to be stronger than Goku. I think they're just saying hes getting back to the level that used to be stronger than Goku. Although, this makes it extremely clear that Gohan > Goku in the boo saga strength wise (yes, that needs to be proven to some people ).

Doubt they were hyping Gohan becoming stronger than Goku, they just mentioned that he'll return back to his state when he was stronger than Goku, if they were hyping it they'd be more literal "The Gohan of old who will again surpass his father" or something like that.

They could be talking about Cell Games Gohan. Lol, but yeah, this pretty much confirms that Boo Saga Gohan was stronger. I gotta agree with the whole consistency thing too. If that was to happen, I'd probably dislike Gohan.

Again... Ikari would be perfect for Gohan and they could get a second chance of finally explaining it like it being the "god" transformations of hybrids or whatever.

But Mystic alone can't make Gohan even close to Blue or Ikari... But most likely TOEI will simply still do it cuz they do not care to tell a proper story like with Trunks

No way man, that would really break the scaling, officially too..
Ultimate Gohan was two shotted by berrus in bog, blue is exponentially more power than him..
Now if he takes blue level opponents on with just his mystic that would absolutely suck, the only reason I might enjoy it will be because it's Gohan..
