Kamehameha's Colour

I'm confused with the Kamehameha's colur......
When Gohan (Kid Gohan) uses it, its in a yellow colour. But when Goku uses it, it was blue in colour....
Even in the game Buu's Fury the colour of the Kamehameha is yellow when used by Goku,Goten or Gohan after it hits Level 3...

Does Gohan use Masenko but shouts out Kamehameha by mistake???

I'm fairly sure that Saiyan Saga messup was definately a mistake by the dubbing company, as Gohan's "Kammayamaya" was really a Masenko..

And in Buu's Fury I'm sure Trunks can pull of something like a fire or electricity Kamehameha, so I wouldn't pay too much attention to the games.

Although he does say "Kamahamaha" in the original Japanese version as well. So it was more of a mistake that the original version made.I wouldn't fully blame it on the dub. While in the manga I believe he didn’t state what attack it actually was it just showed him shooting the KI blast.

This was asked in another thread. It turned out the original Japanese anime screwed up the scene: in the manga it's a Masenko, in the anime it's still a Masenko, but for some reason the VA shouts "Kamehameha." That Kamehameha became the standard in North America, despite being incorrect.

No. Those were Masenko'. The first english dub that aired in America had Gohan shouting "Kamehameha", which is incorrect given his hand positions, the color of the blast, and the fact Gohan doesn't learn the Kamehameha for literally years after that.

(To others, I'm aware the Japanese version made the same mistake, no need to point it out again.)

I never liked it when Goku or Kururin used a yellow version of the Kamehameha (sometimes without saying it), but I liked it when Gohan fired a yellow one at Majin Buu's pod. It kind of added more of that Unique dynamic to Gohan's fighting style that I always liked.

I had this theory once. When Gohan uses a normal powered Kamehameha, it is the standard blue Ex: Super 17, first one against Cell. Then, when he powers up, it goes to yellow Ex: Buu. Then, when he uses it at his full power, or the "super Kamehameha " that the games describe, it goes back to blue Ex: Cell. Not acurate, but a cool theory I thought.

In the game Buu's Fury......when Gohan reaches level 100....his Kamehameha reaches level 3...........thats when its colour gets yellow.....and this happens just before entering babidi's ship....

I'm pretty sure that the coloring was just a Toei mistake (seeing as very very rarely happens).

The Kamehameha is blue as far as I know. Of course Toei has made some red, purple, yellow.... whatever. Roshi's original one was blue.

It's blue. I can't believe all the people that think that Gohan used Kamehameha against Vegeta. Just look at his hands! They're over his head!

Kamehameha = Blue.

There have been instances of it in other colors where it either didn't matter (video games), times in the anime where it either wasn't really a Kamehameha or the animators were asleep at the wheel (Gohan shooting Buu's pod) and variations on it that are different colors (the x10 Kamehameha in GT).

But in it's purest, the Kamehameha is a blue color.

That's it. He invented it therefore his color is the original/correct color.

Let's not forget Gohan and Cell's famous Kamehameha vs. Kamehameha struggle. There was plenty of blue going on there, and they were both Super Saiyan level 2.
