Then it happens. But it's doubtful. Especially considering that Black and Zamasu, like in the anime, probably know that Goku and Vegeta will return. The gr wrote:but what happens if zamasu and goku black escapes right before Vegeta and goku arrives

Yes & no, Toriyama screwed up first. Toyotaro contradicts what was originally said in the manga, but the manga later contradicted itself, and Toyotaro is consistent with that...TheUltimateNinja wrote:Now that we have more info on this time travel matter, it seems to conflict with the original DB. Did Toyo screw up again?
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

I hope someone important gets brutally murdered. Judging from the leaks it looks like Gowasu got merced but apparently he doesn't actually die.

What I can gather from these leaks, these events happen in chronological order:
Goku and Vegeta return to the past.
Bulma informs them that they would have to wait one day before returning to the future.
Goku decides to learn the mafuba while Vegeta trains solo in the RoSaT.
Goku meets up with Roshi.
In the future, Trunks is being mercilessly tortured by Black.
Right when Black is about to deliver the finishing blow, Gowasu and Shin intervene.
Black is shocked at Gowasu's sudden appearance.
Shin and Gowasu take Trunks and Mai to the Kaioshin World in the present.
Trunks and Mai are allowed to rest.
Meanwhile in the future, Black suggests that both he and Zamasu return to their cabin.
Black and Zamasu discuss their plans and Zamasu expresses how he wouldn't want Zen'o to find out about their deeds. He also would like to destroy all life on Earth before they move onto the next planet.
At the Kaioshin World in the present, Shin, Gowasu and co. find out that Zamasu and Black have begun their rampage in slaughtering the remaining life in the future.
Gowasu decides to head to the future himself to try and reason with Black and Zamasu, probably feeling a sense of responsibility.
Black and Zamasu arrive at this fortress that apparently holds the last of the life on Earth(?)
Zamasu goes inside while Black remains behind.
Gowasu reappears behind Black.
Both Black and Gowasu briefly discuss things as Gowasu attempts to talk some sense into his former apprentice.
At some point Trunks, Shin, and Mai return.
Zamasu is seen standing before Trunks, Shin, and Mai.
Black presumably kills/critically wounds Gowasu by stabbing him through his chest.
In the past, Vegeta finishes his training in the RoSaT.
Goku has also successfully mastered the mafuba.
Chapter ends.
Toyotoaro axed Ikari AND the Genki-Dama sword all in one chapter? Give this fucker a medal just for that.
It is a shame he seems to have botched the time travel thing. Bulma said in the Cell arc that you need 8 months to make the fuel, implying Trunks hauled ass to the past the second he could and not wait three years before doing that.

Mangastream has translate the chapter. I loved it. Really sent down a bundle of feels. Black was right though. He had done so much already, going back was no option, even if he wanted to. I think Gowasu understood that, but still had a lot of care for Zamasu.
Also, Goku expressing how sorry he was for leaving Trunks alone in the future to fend for himself was nicely done.

Since Zamasu just killed the last remaining traces of life on Earth, I really want to know how Merged Zamasu will be defeated. Future Zen'o is seen in the Universal Survival arc teaser, so that suggests he'll be involved somehow and Trunks' timeline might be destroyed.ekrolo2 wrote:Toyotoaro axed Ikari AND the Genki-Dama sword all in one chapter? Goku apologizing was a damn good touch indeed. I also like that Toyotaro did a clever play on the whole "Goku left the Senzu behind!" thing by having him leave backup Senzu in case shit went south and they lost their main supply in the future.mfwlegend3 wrote:Mangastream has translate the chapter. Goku apologizing just felt like a rehash from when he left Gohan and Gotenks to die in the Boo saga though. He shouldn't even be apologizing since Future Trunks knew what needed to happen.ekrolo2 wrote:Goku apologizing was a damn good touch indeed. I wonder if Toriyamas outline just said "Goku leaves the senzu behind ". Toei made it out to be a stupid mistake, while Toyo made it pretty clever. Pretty interesting to see.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
He's apologizing because he understands Vegeta and Bulma's feelings. Vegeta was unconscious after his battle with Black, so he didn't know about the discussion that happened between Goku, Trunks, and Mai. Bulma told Trunks to return no matter the outcome of the battle. And seeing that not only did he not return, but was left with two people who defeated both her husband and Goku, must have really gotten to her.kinisking wrote:He shouldn't even be apologizing since Future Trunks knew what needed to happen.

That is true, I don't mind Goku feeling guilty, given the fact he's such a nothing character in most of Super I'll take anything that makes him seem more of a person and not a 0 dimensional action figure.kinisking wrote:Well Toyo is a huge fan so I wouldn't be surprised if he took some heavy inspiration from that scene.
