Great, thats exactly what was not supposed to happen..

This would be easier to digest if goku throwing this match would result in omni king not pleased and uni 7 being destroyed
This is the same man who didn't want to stop the androids before they were made because he wanted to fight them and the same man who had a drawn out fight with Vegeta that woke Majin Buu when he could have ended it in seconds. Goku doesn't and never has given a shit whether his actions lead to death, he is more worried about having a good fight, he cares more about death after it's already happened.
Also there is no saying that he would have a chance to fight Bergamo again and as far as Goku knows the Super Dragon Balls should be able to fix things.
Just wait to see how this plays out.

He wins, it'd be weird if the title of the arc is "Universe Survival Arc" otherwise. Tho I hope he throws it (even tho its nigh impossible I still hope  )

Out of all the Z fighters Goku is the least righteous and the most pure. Goku has become less righteous as the series goes on it seems, at least in the anime, so this being played straight isn't completely impossible.

No, Goku's morality through the series is never called into question enough, I feel like this is a great chance for the character to grow. We already had Beerus and Gohan berate him, now the Multiverse is turning on him and I'm sure the rest of the people on Earth are going to be pissed when they find out, Vegeta especially probably won't take this well at all. If done right this could be the perfect way to make Goku grow as a character.

I won't go into if goku was justified doing those or not, that's been discussed a lot recently..

I was pondering the idea too and if executed right, this episode could be great. Not only does it further put Goku's character in the spotlight (definitely seems like the saga is going out of its way to highlight Goku's character and selfish thirst for battle), but it puts him into an interesting scenario where he can fight to win and doom 11 universes, or lose and save them. However, the monkey wrench comes from the fact that I doubt Zen'o will just allow Goku to waltz on and forfeit. Present Zen'o should be fully aware of what Goku is capable of. I wouldn't be surprised if Zen'o was screwing with Bergamo and trying to test Goku.

This really gives out the vibes of it being the final arc of super then enters EoZ, Piccolo did say "its been a long time since I've seen him that happy" this could be the arc where Goku's serious, not happy anymore while fighting because of what happens, but still I fail to see how Goku would still go for the win after hearing that if Bergamo wins then no stakes at all, Goku's an idiot yes, doesnt really care as long as he gets a good fight yes, but is he THAT desperate/obsessed to fight strong beings that he'd be fine with universal destructions along the way? its not like the tournament got canceled or anything. Was Goku's reaction of being surprised to the point of him trembling just a farce of him? cause obviously he knows how big the stakes are.

Who knows? Isn't really much info to go off of at the moment. We'll just need to wait and see.

I really want Goku to win and fuck everybody. The lyrics of the opening tell me that he's definetly desesperate enough to make this.

I would also like if Bergamo loses because he want everyone to hate U7 and Goku. The final boss of Super is either Goku or Gaogamon, guys!

Why? Toyotaro only writes characters as exposition mouth pieces. If anything that would make it 100x worse.

If you like the manga so much, then stop watching the anime. Nobody forces you to watch this

Me wanting Toyotaro to help out with the anime is for anime's sake, not forcing you to accept what I want here either..
You got a problem?

Manga is the better counterpart to me, dosen't mean I will ignore what is the real canon here or want that to not be better

You have no idea what's going to happen. Every week people jump to conclusions from the Jump previews and act like they know exactly what's going on.
Just wait, this could very well be a key plot point from Toriyama that will be the same in both the anime and the manga.

Let's not pretend to not have any idea on how the franchise has been Handled up until now, having predictions and actions based off that is what happens..

Exactly. We don't know anything. Bergamo could have talked to Zen-Oh privately, the summary ends with what is Zen-Oh goal here? Zen-Oh is obviously up to something.

And Toyotaro isn't exactly a saviour, he made the kissing thing MUCH worse his story telling is pretty mixed.

Once again everyone is assuming that Goku can beat anyone becuase he is Goku. Bergamo could actually be a better than Goku, so Goku does not have to give the fight up as he will lose normally anyway.

Zeno could also be lying and maybe only one Zeno is saying this but the other one has not agreed to it.

Why would Zeno even say this anyway it must be for a good reason.

Trunks was never shown being happy or eating, in episode 52 he actually said something like ''what am i doing here'', he was also crying in the same episode.
