I think people are forgetting the big thing here. Omni King wants to be impressed. No-one is allowed to just quit. That's what makes this so interesting. If he is not impressed with your performance he might go ahead anyway and destroy your universe. In which case, Goku has no choice but to fight seriously, Omni King has seen him fight before so he'd known straight away that Goku is holding back and performing poorly.

Very interesting. It seems Zen'o has so much faith in Goku that he's willing to give Bergamo his wishes if he can beat Goku.

I think i may be the only one here who want Goku to win. Goku being a selfish asshole makes his character much more interesting in my opinion.

hey, i have been a strong defender of goku in super, but let me tell you something: Goku has a legit chance to stop massacre of trillions of lives if he win sintetionally knowing that.

Goku becomes Cell.

Everyone here is assuming Goku has the free choice to drop the ball and lose intentionally to Bergamo, but we have to remember the whole reason why this exhibition tournament is being held: for the amusement and entertainment of Zeno.

If Zeno finds the match boring or not appealing because Goku has given up the match or he hasn't fought seriously, there is a high possibility of U7 being erased. So, I don't think that losing intentionally or quitting is a real possibility for Goku this time.

Most likely we'll see Goku in a dilemma where he doesn't want to win and condemn the existence of the other universes, but at the same time he doesn't want to condemn the existence of his own universe.

Remember trunks happily eating and playing with Gohan's family? Yeah...

Trunks was never shown being happy or eating in episode 52 he actually said something like ''what am i doing here'', he was also crying in the same episode.

He legitimately enjoyed with gohan after that..
He cried because he understood what's important and what's he fighting for after he had fun

Wow so dang dang near everywhere is going crazy over the latest news... idk what to think. If Goku goes ahead and wins anyway this will be a huge contrast to "Super man" Goku. Regardless of what we think, how will casual audiences receive it.

Now that I've calmed down, all I'm sure of is either way, this will bring more heat to Goku, not just to the characters in the show, but to the fandom as well, expect tons of threads being made to make Goku look bad again.
Lets all see how the episode plays itself out, there are times with how they portray Goku is questionable, but there has been instances where Goku was fine for the most part, fine examples was when he whooped Black and Zamasu's asses when they sadistically told him how they took care of his alternate timeline family, another was his fight with Beerus, there were a lot of moments there where he was worried about destruction and how Beerus views mortals.
I'd burst out laughing if they do it like this

Beerus,Gohan,Shin,Satan: Throw the fight! the tournament will still happen, at least now we wont have to worry about universal destruction.
Goku: So what if the universe gets destroyed or everyone bites the dust, it is not my duty to protect anyone let alone the safety of the universe, all I want to do is stand tall, fight and live on until the day I die.

I've never been a fan of the Zenos terminating the losing universes. Sure they lost. But just to kill them sounds too much so soon. Maybe there would be a plot twist where the Grand Priest and both Zenos are only using this to make each group of fighters give it their all. Knowing that not only would they die, but their respected universes too, they would have to go all in now.

"Bursts in" (乱入) is often used for when an outside party intrudes on a fight (like when a 2nd player joins in on a fighting game mid-match) so Toppo intrudes the fight? the guys got guts for doing that infront of Zeno and Grand Priest.

We need to see all aspects and the development yet, but, as it looks, we could know if Goku is as selfish as people say to doom 11 universes, maybe his own included, just to have a win. It's not a fair position for Goku, but that's how Zeno plays. Well, the name of the arc is Universe Survival...

Because, no, just reminding Zeno about the tournament without knowing the rule Zeno would make up, that wasn't even bad. Not destroying Gero's lab was Vegeta's idea in the first place and Goku agreed as the rest of the Z fighters did. Awakening Boo, as far as we know, he was following Shin's way and didn't want to fight Vegeta, it was Vegeta who didn't give him any other choice killing hundreds of people in the tournament arena.

The title sounds like Toppo would have to jump into the arena to stop some sort of commotion. Possibly Universe 9 since so far they come across as cheaters who prefer to fight dirty, and not fight fair and square. I could be wrong. But if Toppo does step into the arena then I wouldn't be surprised if he fought the fighters from U9.

Yeah, I can imagine that happening. Toppo sounds like someone who will do anything for honor, and learning that his universe could be destroyed because Goku simply wanted to fight will set up their own fight soon.
