Again, it's not good to jump to conclusions, it just says "If Universe 9 wins" it doesn't specify if that means the entire exhibition or just the match against Goku. Zeno could also be fucking with them, maybe Gohan wins and Zeno means if Universe 9 wins the exhibition but they don't realize that and there is no way for them to win, even if Goku loses.

Since Bergamo was the one talking them into putting all the blame on Goku (U7) it would have been proper if Zeno woulda just said "If you win" not "If your universe wins" thats kinda talking about the whole match. That is a weird way to fck with them, and I'm not exactly jumping to a conclusion, more like a prediction which isnt that weird to do in forums when you read spoilers, thats the whole fun of it, predicting things.

No, Goku's morality through the series is never called into question enough, I feel like this is a great chance for the character to grow. We already had Beerus and Gohan berate him, now the Multiverse is turning on him and I'm sure the rest of the people on Earth are going to be pissed when they find out, Vegeta especially probably won't take this well at all. If done right this could be the perfect way to make Goku grow as a character.

Personally I dont believe he has done anything wrong. He trusted someone he thought was his friend...and didnt lidten to a guy who only last arc was HORRIBLY inaccurate in his predictions.

The title sounds like Toppo would have to jump into the arena to stop some sort of commotion. Possibly Universe 9 since so far they come across as cheaters who prefer to fight dirty, and not fight fair and square. I could be wrong. But if Toppo does step into the arena then I wouldn't be surprised if he fought the fighters from U9.

Its mostly the other way around, despite them being sort of a cheaters, the universal destruction is still a bigger threat, he probably plans on kicking Goku's ass.

Yeah, I can imagine that happening. Toppo sounds like someone who will do anything for honor, and learning that his universe could be destroyed because Goku simply wanted to fight will set up their own fight soon.

Honestly, this whole setup just sounds like a way to have Goku have a series of a bunch of fights without a real plot getting in the way. I hope it's more than just fight after fight... but its hard to imagine something disrupting the fight that Zen'o doesn't immediately erase.

My thoughts exactly, but that could all change depending on how they handle the upcoming eps for some folks that are defending Goku.

How would Toppo know of Black killing the kai of his universe? for all we know, U11's ki works different like the 3 puppitiers. We dont even know if Toppo can sense ki.

The actaul tournament seems like it it won't start until April as there will pronably be some training and build up episode. It would be nearly 3 months since the start of the arc.

I don't think Goku is going to face Toppo in the tournament. The alien guy and Toppo are probably both really strong. Don't forget that each Universe has 10 fighters so even if Goku wants to fight everyone he probably won't be able to do that.

Going solely on the OP, Toppo doesnt play that huge of a role (he even got side lined, center was his member bald alien dude), FemBroly,Cabba,Frost and the bald alien dude will tho, magazine didnt hype Toppo up as well, just the one fighting Vegeta, fem Broly and bald alien dude. Then again they could just be hiding him in the dark.

That'd be cool, with them doing a ginyuu style pose hah. I hope the tournament is switch members after the fight, like whats happening here in the exhibition match, with anything goes.

Toppo will kick Goku's ass in that episode, no doubt. But Goku will not use SSJB.

Hmm. The latest spoilers have me very intrigued. Goku has thrown fights in the past before, so it wouldn't be beyond him to do it again. I have to say though that this is going to define the tone of the whole arc and Goku's characterisation in Super. Goku's love for battle has been discussed a few times in the series but never outright questioned. They are really setting up something major and I love the fact that Toei/Toriyama are willing to take such a big gamble with the narrative in this fashion. On one end, Goku could undo the stipulation that he indirectly caused and prevent trillions upon trillions of lives being put at risk, but also undermining the whole perspective of the tournament and the Universal Survival arc in itself. But on the other, Goku could end up directly dooming several universes because he gets so into a fight and he becomes incredibly unlikable in the process. I have no idea how they're pull this off without pissing off the fanbase, but I'm insanely intrigued to find out how this pans out.

I really hope that is what this tournament saga is going for. Making Goku (and by extension) U7 out to be the bad guys, and would give other universes incentive to target U7. It would also potentially make Goku's thirst for battle a focal point of the saga as it gets highlighted more and more.
