Future Trunks' fate
Future Trunks' fate
I sorta joked about it in the episode thread, but seeing as how the Omni-king had already thought about erasing the worst universes, U7 being a part of them, wouldn't this mean that future Trunks is getting erased from existence at some point? I mean, he's definitely keeping his body in the afterlife, so be it whilst he's alive or dead, his soul is getting erased.
As a side-note, seeing as how Earth isn't as advanced as the one in the main timeline and everyone strong is dead, it's likely future!U7's score is lower than ours, and perhaps even lower than U9's (depending on what factors count for this "quality" rating).

Re: Future Trunks' fate
Well Future Trunks timeline was already 16 or so years in the future from our current time anyway, so if it didn't happen for them back when they were at the current year Super is, then it probably won't.
Re: Future Trunks' fate
Maybe we'll have a later arc where Trunks returns as a villain, finally broken, after the Omni-King destroyed his universe... AGAIN. And he'll be super edgy and stuff.
When Super apparently shoves Goku down our throats:

Re: Future Trunks' fate
I think this maybe the answer, the decision to destroy the universes may have come about as a result of the events of the Zamasu arc. To be honest I'm not entirely sure where or how the current place Trunks is exists. Does the Omniking we know reign over that world or is that a third Omniking in that "space"?precita wrote:Well Future Trunks timeline was already 16 or so years in the future from our current time anyway, so if it didn't happen for them back when they were at the current year Super is, then it probably won't.

Which events? Remember mate: the last arc events just happened in the future Multiverse, Zamasu did nothing to the present Multiverse timeline as he was killed by Beerus.TheMikado wrote:I think this maybe the answer, the decision to destroy the universes may have come about as a result of the events of the Zamasu arc. Zeno is not a omnipresent being, so is the Grand Priest then I don't think that could be one of the reasons. I think even if U7 did lost in the Tournament, Future Trunks would be not erased right? Didn't that new timeline he now lives is a whole new Multiverse? I don't think it only encompasses the Universe 7.

So you think Future Zeno would be the one influencing on the idea of erasing low evaluated universes in the main Multiverse timeline?TheUltimateNinja wrote:The second Zeno came from that future.

It's possible, though personally I'm leaning towards Daishinkan taking advantage of the chaos to advance his agenda.Noah wrote:So you think Future Zeno would be the one influencing on the idea of erasing low evaluated universes in the main Multiverse timeline?TheUltimateNinja wrote:The second Zeno came from that future.
Re: Future Trunks' fate
Well Future Zen'o could have said how troublesome it was to keep up with all the universes and Present Zen'o decides to make it easier to keep them in check and prevent what happened to future Zen'o from happening in his timeline. Remember Future Zen'o in essence made himself homeless and we don't know if he actually has the power to create things like life. I really have no idea I just found it odd that Trunks timeline doesn't have the universes destroyed but something in the present timeline influenced that so in guessing the combination of Future Zen'o and Goku is the difference.TheUltimateNinja wrote:It's possible, though personally I'm leaning towards Daishinkan taking advantage of the chaos to advance his agenda.Noah wrote:So you think Future Zeno would be the one influencing on the idea of erasing low evaluated universes in the main Multiverse timeline?TheUltimateNinja wrote:The second Zeno came from that future.
Re: Future Trunks' fate
Yeah, that universe is going to be destroyed. But nothing indicates that it would happen soon, it will probably happen after Trunks (both of them lol) are already dead. At least I hope so, he's been through a lot of shit already lol
Re: Future Trunks' fate
When he dies, he'll go to the afterlife and probably keep his body due to all the good things he has done. So, yeah, he'll still get erased.emi_b7 wrote:Yeah, that universe is going to be destroyed. Re: Future Trunks' fate
As far as I'm concerned, Trunks' story ended happily the way we saw it in the original manga. He got strong enough in the past to beat the Androids and Cell in his future, and lived happily ever after alongside his mom as the world gradually rebuilt itself. Because screw Super.
But even as far as Super's concerned, Trunks shouldn't be in any danger any more. It's another case of "universes" being confused and criss-crossed with "timelines." Even if the Universe 7 of the current timeline, as we're seeing it now and following in the story, gets destroyed during the Universe Survival arc, Trunks and his new Universe 7 are in an entirely different timeline, completely separate from this one and unaffected by anything that happens.

Re: Future Trunks' fate
Yes, but this episode revealed that Zeno had already planned on destroying the weak universes, which U7 is a part of. Eventually, tournament or no tournament, he's erasing Trunks.Kaboom wrote:But even as far as Super's concerned, Trunks shouldn't be in any danger any more. Re: Future Trunks' fate
THIS Universe 7 could potentially be destroyed.
The OTHER Universe 7 where Trunks now lives, in an alternate timeline separate from this one, where/when the events leading up to the Universe Survival tournament never happened, is completely separate and safe.
Trunks' previous Universe 7 (y'know, the one with the Earth he actually fought for and saved back in the original story before Super vomited all over it) got destroyed by the Omni-King at the end of the Zero Mortals arc, but that didn't cause the main-timeline Universe 7 to be destroyed too, did it? Well this is the inverse of that. Unless the Omni-King intentionally decides to start using Time-Rings to travel to alternate timelines and destroy those extra copies of the losing universes, Trunks is safe.
Again, timelines are different from universes. I could draw a diagram or something if it needs further explanation.

Re: Future Trunks' fate
I get what you're saying, that's not the point. The point is that the Grand Priest stated that the Omni-king had already thought there were too many universes, to which Whis adds that the universes would all be erased regardless of Goku's interference. Goku asking for the tournament just sped up the process and gave them a method of erasing them.Kaboom wrote:THIS Universe 7 could potentially be destroyed.

Which means that the Omni-king in the new universe 7 timeline is going to destroy Trunks' U7 at some point, it just isn't at the same point as "our" Omni-king(s).
Re: Future Trunks' fate
Ah okay, sorry, I see what you mean. I wasn't aware that the Omni-King was an even bigger asshole than we thought and was thinking of destroying universes anyway.

I like that the Omni King is a little kid that does not mind to destroy things. That's what I would imagine a child like being with god powers would be like.Kaboom wrote:I wasn't aware that the Omni-King was an even bigger asshole than we thought and was thinking of destroying universes anyway.
