I've been thinking the angels were the true villains ever since RF.

Why? Also I made a thread about how the Grand Priest annoucement conflicts with Zamasu's plan in the last arc.

There was just something off about him.

I couldn't put my finger on it but now I know I wasn't over thinking things.

Some were especulating that the winner of the Tournament of Power may wish to restore the erased universes by Zeno, but now knowing that this tournament is just an excuse for he to destroy low evaluated universes, then could this action possibly angers him? In the end all meant nothing if the winner decided to undo the King Of All actions.

They are way too coy about how they're presenting all the information about the tournament. We never hear any of it come from the Zenos' mouths. The mortal ranking system is also absurdly nitpicky and complex for Zeno based on everything we know about him/her/it.

Then you have the whole bit about angels alone being kept alive after the erasure of their universes. For what purpose? Apparently this was a shock even to the Kaioshin and Beerus.

There ought to be six additional (inactive?) angels out there somewhere too.

I've been hesitant to jump on Grand Priest is evil train but this is actually starting to get suspicious.

Same. I'm not ready to say that he's up to something for sure, but there were definitely a few yellow flags that were thrown out this episode. Then again, Toyotaro's Vados was also throwing out some odd, aggressive signals before the first tournament, but nothing came of that.

Ditto, I still cant get over his freaky smirk back in ep 78, I think he's been pushing this, bastards up to something, my bad guy senses tingles whenever he talks eerie, but maybe thats just how angels are in DB, creepy ass villain vibe shit that are just neutral tbh.

Do anyone thinks Daishinkan aka The Grand Priest is the mastermind behind Zeno's actions? Or you guys really believe that two Kings having the mental age of 5 years old children would be capable to evaluate all universes according to the qualities of their living mortals?

As you mentioned the omni kings are pretty much like children so I doubt they could think of something like this
Not mention his kids are spared from the destruction
Hell most of the universal destruction seems to be his idea than Zeno who seems to want a nice tournament.

Grand priest being evil seemed like a dumb prediction sometime ago, but it's starting to get more and more possible..

I would be all for the Grand Priest being a major villain. It would be a little different because Dragon Ball has never had a plot twist kind of villain before.

If all the angels ended up siding with him except for Whis then it would kind of turn expectations on their head. People were expecting the Gods to be villains.

The fighters and the Gods teaming up to go to war against the angels, the strongest beings in the Multiverse would be pretty cool.

That would be final Saga worthy.

Uni 7 and 9 may be the lowest ranked by average, but I'm curious where the other remaining universes excluding 1,12,5 and 8 rank. So out of Universe 2,3,4,6,10, and 11, I wonder who has the highest rank of these. I'm going to just guess:

Count me in on the "Daishinkan is Keyser Söze" mentality. Everything about this tournament so far seems too damn suspicious and complicated for Zeno(s) to be solely responsible for the specific stipulation.

I don't think the angels are evil, it's just they really don't care about what happens to any of the universes.

I know a number of people will say it will be anticlimactic if Goku will win and for his wish have all destroyed universes restored and possibly merged into one giant universe.

To be honest that's a better way then having the characters somehow try to enter the other universes with or without the assistance of others, like Whis. Having one universe will enable to main characters to search for the Super Dragon Balls and hopefully visit planets like Cabba's home planet, Sadla.

The current format of necklace of universe can't bo done elegantly if one is a lot bigger
