He didn't need an excuse to do it. He is Zeno, he could do it at any second. Keep having absurd opinions though.

While I could see Goku being blamed originally for wanting to have a tournament, where the losing universes will be destroyed. We have to remember Goku just wanted to fight and Zeno wanted to destroy multiple universes because he believed there were too many universes already. The tournament was a way to enable him to make it happened sooner and allow the fighters to put on a show for him; which will allow the victorious universe to survive.

With 4 Universes down, I expect most of our fights to be involving the warriors of Universe 11 and 6, maybe some from 10. I just have a feeling that the others, especially 9 will just crumble early on. Who knows though, hopefully we all will be surprised.

My guess is that all twin Universes fight first, and it ends up with Universe 7 vs Universe 11 at the end. Universe 7 wins and wishes back Universe 6.

I think they're okay for a harsh fall. I mean those effects happened when Gohan dashed forward too (although I guess that's different ).

I hope to see more of Sidra before Universe 9 gets destroyed because I like his design and his relax personality. I want to know how powerful he is compare to Goku or Beerus.

It'll be pathetic to have a god of destruction to be weaker than some one in the buu saga.
