Once the BDs listed you'd be good. FUNi hold distribution rights for Canada including TV so you may get it that way too eventually if the Canadian rule about needing Canadian VA isnt there anymore.

Just found out that apparently Matthew Mercer's voicing Zamasu. Should be interesting having Trafalgar Law in DBS.
(If anyone's wondering where, I read it on Wikipedia, so take this with a grain of salt, but it wouldn't surprise me, since his Law voice would fit pretty well & Sabat has said that the actor he got for Zamasu was going to be really good, at least that's what Geekdom101 said).

I think if Mercer was voicing Zamasu, FUNimation or Mercer himself would have announced it.

Yeah no source is cited aswell definitely taken with a grain of salt. Mercer was one of my picks so would be great if it was the case, also think Vic would do a pretty good job too.

Mercer would work, the guy has range as proven by being one of only two voice actors in the Persona game series to play two different main characters in 2 separate numbered games. Being Kanji in Persona 4 and Yusuke in Persona 5.

Yeah, I can just hear him doing something similar to his Trafalgar Law voice as Zamasu.

Jason Douglas took a little while to get his Beerus voice back, but it's here, and it's absolutely fantastic. I'd never been too convinced by his performance as 'stern Beerus', but this episode changed that. Wonderful stuff.

Negatives: the filters on the screams are just too much. They're almost laughable in this episode. The Kamehameha sounded ridiculous. That needs to be toned down.

i just made it to the first kamehameha. I thought it sounded incredible. Scary even.

I don't know what to say about Sabat's Piccolo voice. It keeps fluctuating being more close to either his Zorro voice & the more gruff Piccolo from years' passed.

Loved it! I skipped the beginning episodes during the Japanese release so I'm seeing all of this for the first time. I must admit that I love the added humor brought by the cast in general. It was hard to pick up on that stuff with the subtitles.


Still a little salty that they don't have NEP right after the credits.

Not to sound mean (just prefacing that now because some can easily get triggered if you sound too mean to them), but what would make you think Sean isn't going to be Goku Black? That's kinda part of the whole mystery with him. It doesn't make sense to change that fact in the casting because it's Zamasu's mind in Goku's body. It would just be too obvious otherwise.
Also, the Mercer voice hasn't exactly been confirmed yet, it's just something that's been floating around.

Thanks for saying it in a respectful way! A lot of people on here don't go out of their way like that. But I figured since Zamasu was still Zamasu in Gokus body, they'd stick to one person.

But after I thought about it for a second, of course Sean will play Blacks voice. Haha

Give the dub team a LITTLE credit. Besides, if he was supposed to retain Zamasu's voice, they would've had his Japanese VA voice him, or do an impression of Nozawa, or something. He already voiced Black in Xenoverse 2, so it's not like they're just gonna change that after establishing it.
What I hope they DO do though, is that his Black voice gets tweaked to being more smug & less gruff. That's NOT how Black should be voiced in English. Just a slightly more deep voice with a serious & smug tone is all that's required of Sean, not Super Saiyan 4.

Yeah to me it sounds a little too much like SSJ4. So fingers crossed that they'll make it a little different!

I think we will get a better idea once Xenoverse 2 DLC 3 gets dubbed. Assuming they'll add a mini arc like they did with the previous DLC.
