There's a heroes card with the team of three Goku,Vegeta and 17. I feel like this confirms my suspicion that 17 is gonna have a lot of screen time probably 2nd or 3rd most. (I know heroes cards aren't usually indicative of anything)

I'm happy i'm not the only one who thinks that 17 is going to have a huge part this time,i don't know if Toriyama is trolling us but he legit looks like Goku's sidekick in the poster,he has a place right next to him in the front and the others are all thrown in the back.

He has a big placing here too. I think 17 will do a great job and I think he'll be just as relevant as Gohan this arc. I think this is the first time Piccolo's been shown in merchandising ? I have a feeling he'll job hard

We might do a lot of complaining about super, but the fact that we dislike weeks off shows that its truly a positive thing in our lives. I'll be distraught when super ends. Hopefully we get a new anime, even if it's a reboot / side story or whatever.

Pretty much, Super airs midnight over here on Saturday (well technically Sunday I guess lol) and it is the perfect top off for the day, whether it is shit day or good, either makes the day greater for me or the day salvageable and unfortunately my Saturday was pretty shit and no Super excitement to hold me throughout the day... Though today I got the Dub and Kai to look forward too so that's good!

It seems like the marketing team are unaware of the bang changes for Gohan ( or don't care). Even Super dragonball heroes kept the bang for their Universal survival marketing. So, this is definitely marketing for the US Arc. I think Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, 17, and Krillin will be the main players in this arc.

If 17 has the biggest contribution other than Goku and Vegeta then I think it will damage the franchise as a whole. As it would be stupid to have a character never shown even though he is on the same planet doing better then the other 7 fighters who are seen all the time. Since he is a ranger he probably has not trained and not got stronger so does not deserve to be more important then characters who always train consistently and like to fight.

I still think Toei is marketing 17 just becuase he is retuning and this is an easy way to create hype for the universal tournament.

Haven't nearly all the fighters on team Universe 7 done this.

You just ignored 2 fighters from that marketing card. Logically Piccolo and Buu should last longer than Android 17 and Krillin unless they are extremely lucky.

17 isn't that popular. While I think he is going to do well I think some people here are severely overestimating how well he is going to do, especially the ones who are basing this on how much he is showing in Heroes and stuff like that. He is a returning character, of couse he is going to show up in promotional material.

I will not accept that under any circumstances.

17 does not seem that popular in Japan either and if Dragon ball was made by anyone other than Troiyama, the other characyers would be getting more fights. This definitely seems like Toei marketing for merchandise. Piccolo is popular everyone whereas 17 is essentialy a random character that appeared in a part of an arc.

It's great to see Vegeta taking his rightful place alongside Goku again. Hopefully we'll see him kick a lot of behinds.

There are 70 characters who could potentially be beaten by Universe 7. That could be 7 each if the other universes deliberately try and get Universe 7 destroyed.

Everyone from team Universe 7 needs to win at least one match in a good way so everyone in the fanbase can actaully be satisfied.

They sure are hyping up 17 for some reason, Toei's taking a huge gamble with this guy if they plan on giving him a lot of screen time rather than Piccolo, Gohan, Krillin and the others, from the pictures and OP he sure has got it better than the other characters, other than Goku and Vegeta ofc, but I must say, 17's getup is dope af.

Maybe. Keep in mind 17 is decently popular among Heroes players in Japan too so it makes sense they're promoting him there.

Maybe. Keep in mind 17 is decently popular among Heroes players in Japan too so it makes sense they're promoting him there.

Also, keep in mind that 17 is the arc's 'Old Returning Character'. Trunks got his asspulls for relevancy in his return arc, I wouldn't write off the same happening with 17.
