Time travel logic problems? How about space travel problems in DBZ?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Time travel logic problems? How about space travel problems in DBZ?

When Raditz landed on Roshi's Island he stated that it took him a few days of space pod flight to get to Earth from the planet he left Vegeta & Nappa on (apparently Tritek, that can be that planet where Vegeta fed from an alien victim's body), HOWEVER when Vegeta & Nappa set course to Earth it took them ABOUT A YEAR (roughly a few hours stop at Arlia in filler) of space pod flight. EVEN IF THEY WEREN'T ON THE SAME PLANET SINCE RADITZ LEFT, The gap shouldn't be so long as they couldn't get that far in space. Don't know if someone noticed that.

Do you have the exact reference on that? I don't recall Raditz specifying the time frame logged between traveling to Earth from another planet. I wouldn't say the planet Vegeta & Nappa debut was the same planet Raditz wanted Kakarotto's assistance with (on account of it being thoroughly exterminated). Well, it's more likely the Saiyans departed from separate planets & there isn't anything stopping both coordinates from taking one year to reach Earth (a planet located in the backwaters of the universe).

In the Japanese dub Raditz allegedly says: "Earlier" according to this sub however in the Funimation & Hebrew dubs he says: "A few days ago we discovered a planet of our liking, we'd like to conquer it but our current manpower isn't enough, and then I recalled you, my little brother. Your power level isn't at it's fullest but it should help us once the moon there will be full."

In the manga, chapter 197 Radditz said the following:
We three have recently found a planet we know can be sold for a very high price, but the natives are potent. Even three Saiyans might not be enough to finish the job.
So it is a vague "recently" rather than a more precise "few days ago". Also note that Radditz doesn’t say they have physically been on that planet trying to conquer it or anything. He just said that they "found it". For all we know the existence of this marketable planet could have been discovered through radars and spy cameras like those shown in episode 19 of Dragonball Super where Sorbet had clear view of the Earth and what was going on with Pilaf. It could have also been a planet that the Freeza army identified and gave the intelligence they had and the assignment of its conquering to the Saiyans. In any case Radditz’s words don't necessarily mean that Vegeta, Nappa and Radditz had all been physically on that planet. And the time frame is quite vague to begin with.
