The stiffness and the timing is just right. It creates much more impact to the fight. I hope we see something like this in the future.
I'm bad at English and still learning. If there's anything wrong, please correct me. :D

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Gosh, just looking at those EOB cuts makes me mad, what a garbage OVA, but on-topic: no news about Karasawa yet?

Story overall, nothing that concerns this thread about animation.

Bringing back a much beloved character through a dumb time-travel plot that destroys the thing that makes him a unique character in the process for the sake of being cool, YAY.

The animation was okay.

Nope, and we probably won't know until next month. I hope people are keeping an eye on ēlDLIVE's staff to see if he pops up there again. I think there is only 2 or 3 more episodes of that show.

In terms of animation how is the Universal Survival Arc going so far?

The results on the screen are decent enough, but the messy staff lists definitely tell a different tale in terms of production health.

I wonder if they wanted to rush the prelims as soon as possible before the actual tournament or the whole arc will be like this. As long as the actual animation on screen looks nice, I'm satisfied though.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Actually, another quick question, but if it is possible how could Dragon Ball Super's production be fixed?

It'll be interesting to see. I'm not particularly worried by the staff lists (not more than I am for a typical episode of Super at least). Outside of the weirdness of episode 79 having two directors and two storyboarders the staff isn't too different from what you'd see in back to back action episodes of other anime, like for instance Pokemon. In fact I'd be happy if they were able to sustain animation staff sizes similar to 79 through large amounts of the arc. My main hope is that we see fewer instances of supervisors having 4-6 weeks between episodes and more instances of 8-10.

Time and planning. I have no doubt that they are very often working to improve things, but as the show can't be taken off the air it's something they just have to go step by step on.

I would say the massive differences in the NEP and the episode itself is another thing thats worrisome in regards to the schedule.

Outside of a filter that can be done quickly they'res not really that big of a difference.

It's things like finishing effects between the preview and the episode itself that worry me. Here's the example I used for the preview of #81 in comparison to the actual episode. I can understand minor corrections, like the shape of an eye or something along those lines, but this is a scene that was clearly unfinished at the time of the preview. This was adding an entire level of effects to a scene, not just adding a filter.

It's this kind of thing that really worries me, and this upcoming episode will probably reaffirm my concern.

Throwing some effects on later doesn't seem too crazy to me, a supervisor might have just looked at the scene and decided it needed a tiny bit more kick to it. It's just simple shapes applied over the top of the existing image.

Posting news about no news:

Mined Fuji's site earlier and there's no preview image. I guess that's going to be a regular thing now.

Bit of a shame. I enjoyed guessing based on those tiny images!

Lame, I guess they caught wind of the images leaking.
