Chi Chi will probably be the reason Goten doesn't go. It won't make her character any different tbh. Chi Chi's always been dumb as bricks and unable to see the big picture. She makes super Goku look average. Let's be honest, Goten and Trunks aren't being utilized because Toriyama doesn't want to for some reason. Chi Chi doesn't have the ability to stop anyone who is determined enough from doing anything. She's just a hate sink because having someone to hate makes it easier.

While I like Goku far more the Supe's, I've come to appropriate the character a lot more in resent years. There are many very good and interesting stories told using him and theirs a lot more character and nuance to him then most would think. There's a reason that Superman is one of the most iconic super heroes in the world and its not just because he's super powerful or been around for years. "Extremely boring and walking plot device" are words I would like to point out are used to label Goku by his detractors to. In both cases there wrong as Superman and Goku are very interesting as characters, not just because they are strong.

When I said Jiren was going to be the DB Superman, I mean he's the opposite of Goku. He's a person who genuinely cares about the lives of others. Goku wants to be strong and fight strong people, Jiren wants to be strong to protect people and help his universe.

Having our unconventional Goku go up against someone who is a true hero in a battle to save their universes sounds very interesting to me as we have never had a situation like that in the series before. It would shine a light on Goku's flaws but also his strengths as well as those of more conventional heroes.

I'm hoping that is jiren character,he is Happy and he has a strong sense of Justice and a great sense of humor,like seriously we don't need another stoic rival for Goku, because hit already accomplished

Just Hit? Tenshinhan, Piccolo, and Vegeta are all stoic rivals lol. Hit is just the next one. I also hope Jiren isn't really all that stoic either. However, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if he was.

The way the opening episode was and how they purposefully hide the identity of Black right up until the end leads to me to believe they wanted it to be that shock moment at the end, but obviously the advertising team had other idea's and you are right it makes sense why would reveal Goku Black prior but I feel like Trunks would have been enough to generate interest. Goku's a better character than Vegeta... In Super? both are terrible, but Vegeta is not a one note dumb character as Goku is often portrayed in Super, mate.

Goten and Trunks are still kids and are less mature than Gohan was at age 6. There's nothing wrong with ChiChi and Bulma not wanting their kids to take part in this.

Are still kids being like 14 and 15 years old respectively? You got to be kidding right? Bulma saw Goku fighting at this age in the Tenkaichi Budokai and is likely that Chichi was trained in martial arts in that age too. They were reluctant with their kids being the only option to deal with Majin Boo, but now there threat is even bigger with the whole universe in risk of being erased, it's stupid to not bring these kids that individually are stronger than half of the team for god's sake. They not being mature is a lame excuse too, they can always develop their characters and train them to be more applied in battle, but clearly the show doesn't want to do that, unfortunately.

I know all them are stoic,I just didn't mention them because there not Goku rivals anymore,hit is filling That role of being Goku new rival, and maybe jiren or toppo will also be his new rivals

oh I have a reason because they ruined super saiyan being hard toget and they created one of themost insufferable characters in the entire franchise.

Uhhh no they didn't ruin super saiyan.. Both of them are the offspring of Goku and Vegeta. Two of the strongest Saiyans to come out of their race. It's pretty obvious where they get their power from.

Vegeeta got frustrated at himself, Trunks and Gohan got it however. Let's not blow things out of proportion, the majority of them didn't go through any trauma to achieve it. Goten and Trunks having it is a joke and a plot device, so you should treat it as one.
